GMC Envoy 1998-2009Change

There have been a few bugs to repair. Ride is really smooth. Very quiet inside. The interior has everything I have ever wanted in a vehicle. Perfect size for family.

Good SUV, no problems at 279,000 km. Tows a camper very well and is reliable. Only concern is gas mileage but that is typical for this type of vehicle.

Love my Envoy. I have 5 kids and everyone still has some personal space. We go on roadtrips quite often and its pretty decent on fuel and we have never had an issue mechanically other than normal wear and tear. We keep up on maintenance and it runs good! I One of my favorite vehicle purchases to date.

We have a family of 7 so this car just fits us. I wish it was roomier but we do like it! I love that it is 4 wheel drive. We live where it is winter 6 months or so of the year and its always been very good in all weather no matter how severe.

My husband wanted to buy an Envoy when we were on the market for a new vehicle. We found a 2006 that had 50000km and fit our budget. We have had the vehicle for 8 years. PROS: very comfortable seating, very dependable engine (we never had any problems with it at all), loads of great options, such as heated power seats, power sunroof, 6 pack CD changer, etc. CONS: it's a gas hog, some terrible blind spots, electrical problems from day one with steering wheel, door and some dash lighting, rear hatch window shattered, problems with rear window defogger constantly. But the worst was the Stabilitrak and 4x4, which stopped working properly a year after we bought it. Auto 4 wheel drive would make the transmission skip, low didn't work at all. In 4 high, made a grinding noise, but worked. While I liked the truck, I chose a different brand when purchasing my new vehicle.

Can say enough about this vehicle, 2002 GMC Envoy SLT. It's been wonderful. Reliable, comfortable, it has never let us or our pocket book down.

I say truck because it's one of the last models of SUVs that is a 1/2 ton pickup frame with an SUV body. This vehicle can still tow about 6000 lb which is a lot more than most newer SUV's that are limited to small tent trailers.

Engine is solid and runs forever. fuel economy is a little worse than that of newer SUVs but given it's more of a truck, it's to be expected with more brute power.

I don't think I would change anything about this vehicle. owned one for 10 years with minor wear and tear but no major issues.

Never a problem, sound, comfortable, roomy and so reliable. Love this vehicle. Owned this vehicle since new and have never had any major repairs needed. Easy to maintain, easy to operate, GMC should have kept on with the Envoy line.

I bought this car new. It has the smoothest ride because of the longer wheelbase and air load levellers. It is fully equipped with all options except the V8. It has an in-line 6 with great acceleration and towing capacity. I occasionally tow a 25 foot Bennington tri-toon pontoon boat that is huge. We often prefer this vehicle over our Lexus on long trips because of comfort and room. Simply a great vehicle with all the options.

I bought my car new in 2006 and have loved driving it now as much as I did the day I bought it! Great drive in summer or winter...loads of room and stylish too. The 4.2 L engine was plenty enough power for me and the family. I purchased the Onstar feature system for the entire time I owned this vehicle and would do the same again. Peace of mind driving a vehicle you can rely on and a simple touch of a button to keep you in contact with folks that know your vehicle as well as you do.

LOVE our Envoy! It's sleek and stylish, fits a tonne of stuff - and goes through ANY road condition.
Just wish it had more cup holders...

The truck has been amazing! All leather inside makes it super comfortable and very stylish, and the heated seats are great in the winters. The Bose sound system is unbelievable! The ride is smooth, it's really quiet inside, the 4x4 works amazing in the slow and slush. It corners well and it drives well, especially on long trips. It feels like a very safe drive.

I've owned almost 30 vehicles over the span of 30 years and this one has been the best one, bar none! We've owned this vehicle since 2005 and have had a great experience with it. 200,000 km later (and after many road trips all over Canada and the US), it still runs and drives great. Too bad GM stopped making them!

I have had this car for 6 years and it is absolutely amazing! You can enjoy the ride by purchasing one of your own!

I'm very happy with my Envoy. It has a ridiculous amount of features and options. The 4.2L is a very strong and quick engine.
I do all repairs myself so cost have been very low.
All in all one of the best SUVs I've had so far.

vary reliable 4x4 works great wont buy another one without it. very little rust for the year great shape this truck wont let you down

This SUV has been great, never let me down...it runs great on the highway. i have had this car new off the lot, and never had any problems with it. very safe drive in the winter time

I have owned this vehicle as a second hand purchase for 6 years. This SUV was lady driven and well maintained. Although this vehicle is 9 years old, the structural integrity and body are in fantastic condition. The vehicle is regularly serviced and the mileage keeps on clicking. Although Envoy is a discontinued line, I highly recommend it for drive, comfort and reliability.

We have owned this vehicle for over 5 years. Very comfortable and dependable. When shopping, there are various option packages - the SLT's with the headlamp sprayers are an indication of a loaded option package. Make sure all the toys work before you buy! Enjoy the style and the ride.

Definitely a reliable car, i have driven this car for many years and it has been doing well ever since.

This SUV is a pleasure to drive in security and comfort.
Automatic wipers and anti-lock brakes could use some re engineering if GM is interested in my suggestions.

I have owned this vehicle as a second hand purchase for 5 years. Recently crossed 200k kilometres and am installing a new transmission and encoder motor today. With the high cost of new vehicles, it makes sense to maintain a vehicle. Although this vehicle is 10 years old, the structural integrity and body are in fantastic condition. The vehicle is regularly serviced and the mileage keeps on clicking. Although Envoy is a discontinued line, I highly recommend it for drive, comfort and reliability.

My niece drives a 2009 envoy I love it comfort at it's best.The interior is beautiful uses a lot of gas but what a great way to go traveling .
