2017 Infiniti Q50

Trim: Red Sport 400

Amazing car
I bought the infinti q50 red sport 400 after I test drove it for the first time. The motor is explosive. I have owned mine since it had 50km and I very recently traded it in after an amazing 100 000kms. This is an amazing vehicle. I loved every second driving it. My wife and I took it on a 10 000km road trip across Canada and everything about this perfect gt car showed. Amazing fuel economy (avg 7.8l/100km) for such a monster of an engine. Not only is the car amazing, the infiniti dealer service was surprisingly affordable and a step above, especially when you compare to any of the German brands. If you can find one that was well maintained, it is a great bargain used. I find the Infiniti brand gets a bad rep in the auto industry for some reason but when you are looking for a great all-round, good looking car, the red sport does everything very well.

2014 Infiniti Q50

love my Q!
This Q is so much better looking than the old G37. I'm glad I went this route as it will keep it's look for quite some time! Fast and reliable car. My only gripes are how slow the infotainment system loads up and how little trunk space there is when you have the spare tire option. Great otherwise!

2016 Infiniti Q50

New 2016 Q50 Rusting Already
My 2016 Q50 leased from Myers Nissan/Infiniti in Ottawa started rusting on the trunk and over the left tail light within 6 months of delivery. The customer service from Myers and Infiniti Canada has been terrible - have had to fight to get the rust repaired (which will be finally done 2 months after reporting the rust and after engaging the general manager and Infiniti Canada). Infiniti wants to be a luxury brand, but the reliability is questionable and the customer service, from the dealer and from Infiniti Canada, is very poor, especially in comparison to my previous experiences with BMW and Volvo. I would not recommend the brand and will not return to Infiniti once this lease expires. Suggest you look elsewhere in the very competitive luxury-entry and luxury segments.

2016 Infiniti Q50

Trim: 3.0t Sport
by Valmiles on 02-13-2017
Looks Good on Paper
On paper, this Q50 Sport is a great car, less expensive and more capable than BMW 3-series or Mercedes Benz C-class. However, handing is awful, worse than any other car I have owned or driven, including SUVs!

Q50 is not new to power steering foes. 2015 has its issues with Direct Adaptive Steering. 2016 has gone to electric assisted power steering on the Sports model with the second generation DAS being an option. Being well aware of the issue with the first generation DAS, I elected to get base electric power steering.

The car, however, wanders whichever way the road takes it, which is specifically evident at highway speeds. If you hold the steering wheel perfectly straight, the vehicle starts pulling in one direction, after correcting it, it pulls in the other. We have seen number of reviews on infinitiq50.org forum about this issue, some owners indicating that Run Flat Tires (RFTs) are causing this behavior.

I don’t know for certain and I’m not willing to replace tires on the brand new vehicle. In few months I will trade it in and get something else, although at a loss.

Other than this issue and few deficiencies with the infotainment system, such as lack of useful applications and slow response, this car has been good. Acceleration is excellent, but the poor steering takes all the fun out of driving it.

Power and performance
Reliable, comfortable and lightning fast. The fuel economy is a bonus on top of that. Technology in this car is second to none.
