Kia Borrego 2009-2010Change

This is one great SUV, rides a bit rough, but a body on frame design not unibody, so to be expected with firm suspension. Just a minor issue with 4x4 switch being defective, and now it appears the engine has a problem and is being replaced under warranty. Glad I bought the KIA protect not the Nation wide, as it is fully covered. The engine is not a deterrent, still love the truck, and won't part with it. If you get a chance, grab one, they are scarce as KIA only had them in N.A. from 09-11. Too bad for them, one great truck.

This is the LandCruiser of Korean Car Makers. Over 160000 km of trouble free driving. Super reliable - didn't even change a light bulb since new! Comfortable interior for city, sensible for trips into the bush. With the mighty V8 engine and 6 speed tranny - Able to pull 6500 lb trailer, canoe on roof and full load of family and dogs over any mountain pass. 25 mpg on hi way. You don't buy this for gas mileage, you buy it for durability and capacity.
Too bad they quit selling in North America..as I would buy another one with hesitation.

Quiet drive, usualy runs below 2000RPM. Great for towing big boat. Low 4x4 gears help puling a boat from the water or help of road.

I was looking to go to a AWD RL Acura 2012. I still had my Blizzaks on the Borrego which are not as quiet as the All Season LTX2 Michelins. In spite of this fact the Borrego was quieter inside than the RL, which was really a big surprise as I had high expectations for the Acura. I will keep the Borrego, even though it's coming up on a 100k. Impressive vehicle
I can get 640 k out of tank with the cruise set at 115k and still have a few litres in reserve. With a v8 its difficult not to accept that mileage when you also have the capacity to tow 7500 lbs, and have room 4 adults 2 small kids very comfortably. Keep your foot off it in town and you get 500 k plus per tank. Anybody still running the factory Hankooks do your self a big favour, get rid of them ASAP. You will Thank Yourself for sure. Highway its a dream, but the body on frame often serves reminders of the trade off on bumpy roads.

80000 K very comfortable, solid, and reliable SUV. Quiet and smooth highway cruiser where the V8 proves it value. Tight fit, no rattles and it can get western if it has to. This body on frame, with 4x4 high/low range is not your average AWD 7 seater.

Very reliable. No issues so far, with over 55000 KM. Great on and off road. Lots of room inside. Could use a little bit softer suspension to smouth out the highway driving. Love this SUV and would not trade it for a while.

We have had some issues with the vehicle but always looked after by Kia in Courtenay.
still having issues with electrical. with only 34000kms on it all the bulbs flicker periodically from time to time.
