Mazda Mazda6 1990-2016Change

I love my car overall, its pretty confortable inside and spacious. I feel safe in it and I love to drive it. Only problem is the fuel consomation that is excessive in my humble opinion.

Great gas mileage. Had to replace clutch and mechanic said common for this model as the clutch plate crackes and should be recall but was not

my experience with this vehicle has made my experience with vehicles , alot better, i will not lie about this vehicle, the steering is unbelivable (in a good way) but the braking wasnt good at all, had to replace the brakes over and over but overall the comfort i felt was amazing and the speed was dazing

Hard to find wagons in Canada anymore... Was driving a focus wagon but decided to step up to the big 6. Bought used and I have no regrets aside from fuel economy. Part of the economy issue is down to the fact that I love hammering on it now and again. (not so much fun in the focus)The car is an all around performer. Stylish, quick and has the load space I was looking for , I'm not a fan of SUVs. Smokestone is the colour and teh gfx package adds blacked out lights surrounds, tinted windows etc...

1 Year of ownership and I have replaced brakes and an egr sensor/valve. Family has space and Daddy has pace!

Had this car for nearly three now. Very reliable, great handling although the trade off is a slightly stiff ride. Comfy seats, a classy interior and still a great looking vehicle, even now.

I have had my 2009 Mazda 6 GT since April 2009 and other than regular maintanance like oil changes, tire rotation, winter tires etc. the car hasn't seen the inside of a service bay since new. I have now 69,000 km on the car and still feels "new", Handling is like driving a sport/touring automobile and it likes being pushed....however doing so, causes the car to get a little thirsty.
Under normal driving conditions I have no trouble getting 7.9 ltrs per 100 km on the highway and about 11.5 in city driving, but that's price you have to pay for having a 3.7 ltr engine.
Styling is still now, 4 years later, better than any other midsize competitors vehicles that are coming onto the market today.
Two negatives are the expensive NAV system which was already out of date when I picked the car up and expensive to update and the low profile Micheline tires started having a "cupping" problem resulting in a "thud-thud-thud" noise from the front end which disappears after about 90 kmph. I''ll put up with it until I'm replacing the tires in the spring with Bridgestones.
Overall an excellent car and I can't wait for the new model to come out, which I'll probably buy again, unless there is another real "knock-out" midsize car in the marketplace.

The transmission in my 2010 Mazda6 GS is very weak, revs to about 4,500 before shifting out of first gear. Very frequently when I step on the gas I'll hear the car working, but I'll actually do nothing more than roll for a few seconds until it seems to kick into gear and start moving. Shifting gears is very rough and you'll feel every change.

There is also a lot of dash rattle/cabin noise. Again, the dealership was unable to even find the source of the noise after 3 trips. I've had very irritating noises come from bad weatherstripping, the passenger seat adjustment lever, and the seatbelts while unbuckled.

I have been driving a Mazda6 for 6 months and must say of all the vehicles I've owned this car has has given my the best balance of style, performance and value. Truly a sleeper in the competitive segment of mid size family sedan,

The car is great looking, amazing to drive, and quite powerful with the V6 engine matched to the 5 speed manual. I bought this car specifically for the manual transmission with the powerful engine and love it. The engine is a little gutless until you hit 3000 rpm, which is when the power comes on strong. I do with it had more low end torque.

Fuel economy isn't awful (an average of about 10.5 l/100km in mixed driving). Newer V6 engines get much better fuel economy, but I didn't buy it because of fuel consumption.

The styling, albeit subjective, is amazing! It's really got great lines! There are small little bits of rust, but within reason. I have had some problems with the clear-coat on a few body panels. The interior is well designed and easy to use. The silver trim has held up well with limited scratches. Many small bits of the interior plastics have fallen off and broken, but it doesn't change my opinion of the car. It has been extremely reliable and is a pleasure to drive.

My cousin recently bought this car and I took it for a test drive I must say I am in love with this car...It has everything I look for in a car safety wise and comfort wise as as for giving a wild ride let me just say I would never get out of this car I would drive it none stop!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

great car 150 000 no big problems yet......its a great car very reliable good handling .....iwould recommend this car to everyone and anyone that lives on earth

I love this car. In 6 years, never had an issue, and it should last me for years to come! Very fuel efficient, handles well and very responsive.

When and if it bites the dust, I will be getting another Mazda 6 for sure!

I have owned this car for 5 years with 90K and have only had to put on rear brakes!! The car rides smooth and really enjoy driving it. Before this car I changed my cars every 1 to 3 years as I get bored of cars easily, but there is something about this car that just makes it enjoyable to drive. The fuel economy isn't the best, but I guess it is average for the size of the car. Also, an extra 50hp would be great!

While this car can comfortably and safely transport my family, it's still sporty looking and sleek. I have had no major problems with my Mazda 6 in the 6 years that I have owned it, and I hope to continue driving it for a few more years at least!

I have loved every drive with this car and it has mostly been highway. The heated leather seats, great sound system and handling of the road in no matter what weather. The only downfall is the engine breaking. It was the main bearings actually and the cats needing replacing. Therefore I have ended up spending a lot of money on repairs for this car. I love it and will miss it greatly when I get rid of it.

this is a good car and has good pick up. not a fan of a car of such quality not having an i pod hook up in it.. i love the bose system.. mechanically this car is a nightmare.. hate how the outside plastic is so easy to push in just by leaning against the car.. also the exhaust cracks after 3 years

Car works well and is very reliable, No problem s thus far and would buy this car again. I have the i4 2.3 l and the performance is reasonable its a peppy car. Also offered is a v6 which i had also driven it has more power but the i 4 gets the job done reasonably well. Its a better choice at the ump then the v6. Fun and nimble with a decent aftermarket fallowing.

The car is great with a great looking aggressive stance a lot of room and large amount of cargo space.
The car is best in terms of fuel when driving in manual mode not to mention the car is very sturdy and safe.

the ride is terrific with style and comfort, it creates a fast dynamic experience in driving that you almost reach your destination effortless.

6 years old and still running perfectly! Can easily and comfortably transport our growing family, and 2 dogs! Just minor repairs so far, and regular upkeep but all in all, a really reliable, stylish, sleek car!

The interior and exterior were well thought out on this car. Nice lines, good use of space and a lot of little extras. Some of the interior trim is flimsy, but only below the seat line. The fuel economy is descent with the CVT engines, but the stutter off the line can be annoying when you need to move in a hurry.

-could use a 6th gear for highway cruising
-had 2 oil leaks so far
-lumbar support broken, but upgraded version is still holding

-fun car to drive "zoom zoom"
-fit 5 adult comfortably
-is a hatchback, but doesn't look like one

Absolutely love this car! My first Mazda and definitely not my last. Mazda dealerships really look after their customers.

I've owned the car since 2004 brand new and I racked up over 380,000 km. Not engine or transmission problem. I easily get 600 km per 50 L tank on regular gas.

The interior and exterior design was still up to date until 2011. You're getting good value.

Only complaint I have are the rust on door sills are a known issue.

I love Mazda, mazda6 is great for its comfort, it just feels alot safer to drive then other vehicles in its size.
