2002 Honda Accord

by Edwin_U on 10-15-2012
Reliable, low hassle, good value
My family has lived with this car for 10 years without any major headache. Routine maintenance but nothing else required. The car is a good family car. We've put 250K on it and it is still going strong. Works equally well for long road trips as short commutes.

Our Honda Accord is a boring car that works very well and is good value for money.

2005 Audi A6

by Edwin_U on 10-11-2012
Good executive cruiser
I had absolutely no trouble with this car over the 4 years that I owned it. It was a good highway car and had plenty of space in it to seat my family comfortably. Interior styling is top notch. Drive is great.

My friends commented that they found the ride too firm. I like the direct feel and prefer it over the more cushy american and japanese ride style.

My only other negative on this car was that as the car got a little older I found the styling dated very quickly. Audis look really great when the designs are first released but if you look at the previous generation on the road they look very plain. BMWs age better in my opinion.

2008 Audi A5

by Edwin_U on 10-11-2012
Best car. Wish I hadn't sold it
I had to sell my A5 when my wife and I found out we were having our first baby. We are a one car family and wanted something bigger. We really miss our A5. It was a car that was both very practical, made you feel great, and was absolutely great to drive. Best roadtrip car for a couple ever. A lot more room in the trunk than you would expect.

Every element of this car is well thought through. Nothing is out of place. Can't fault it.

Trying to think of some constructive criticism to help the buyers out there.... head room in the back is very limited. Leg room is fine for a two door car but taller passengers will find it cramped.

Wish I hadn't sold mine.

2011 Volvo XC60

Trim: T6

Great cruiser and family car
There are only two things I don't like about this car. The fuel economy is not good. I get 11.5l/100km. I wasn't expecting great economy given the powerful 3L turbo engine but I was a bit surprised at how much it costs me to drive it. The second thing I don't like is the control panel for the phone/audio etc. The center panel is a beautiful design but all the buttons are too small and it is hard to find the button you are looking for without looking away from the road. Given Volvo's reputation for safety I was dissapointed by this as I think it is dangerous to shift your focus away from the road to change the radio station or any settings.

Other than that though, it is a great car. Super comfortable. Great ride. Very quick accelleration which is super handy when passing. Good storage space. We have also had a good experience so far with our Volvo dealer for service etc. Overall I would recommend this car to young families looking for a luxury oriented family car.
