Impossible to replace. Tows our 4 ton sailboat and snowmobile trailer with ease. Our bikes fit inside upright on a bike stand , safe and secure. Glass headlights look new as does the original paint. And it hasn't needed a a dealer only part in 25 years so the no dealerships in 20 years doesn't matter. It's shared the driveway with 2 Saturn's, 3 Saabs, 2 Jetta's all of which are in the junkyard now except the current Jetta (soon to be). Hoping the trooper has another 25 years in it as there is nothing to buy!!!

Needed a winter car and this was the surprize. As a Consumer Reports person the clear choices were Nissan Altima or Lexus ES350. The CVT wiped the Altima out in a nanosecond (horid).The Lexus powertrain was great but the handling wasn't . Then by luck I tried a Jetta diesel DSG. Wow. LOVE getting in and driving. Reliability has been OK too (107000 Km)
