I have had the Golf R for two years. It seemed a little pricey at first, but once you have lived with it you realize that it is a huge step up on any other Golf model. I have had no problems whatsoever. The performance is amazing, but at the same time it is a quiet, comfortable ride. The only minor complaint I would have is that the nav system can be a little clunky compared to others I have used, but once you get used to its idiosyncrasies it's no longer a problem.
