Special editions with an "outdoorsy" flavour have been a tried and true luxury SUV tradition for decades. Some of the most notable being the Orvis Jeep Grand Cherokee of the late '90s, Eddie Bauer Fords, and on a more exclusive level the Holland and Holland Range Rovers complete with shotguns and a bar in the boot. With the Bentayga, Bentley's first SUV, the company has been quick to dip their waders in the water and are building the Bentayga Fly Fishing by Mulliner.
Mulliner, Bentley's in-house coachbuilder, has started by installing a hand crafted fly fishing set trimmed with wood and leather. There are four fly rods set in leather trimmed tubes, nets stored in carpeted pockets, and leather lined storage for all the accessories a fisherman needs. There are three leather-trimmed modules that make up the body of the setup and are a "master tackle station", cooler, and waterproof wader stowage.
The tackle station holds a burr walnut drawer with fly-tying tools, hooks, and feathers. The cooler holds fine china tableware and flasks. The whole kit can be removed from the boot to give back the luggage space when needed. Perhaps most important for an SUV of this stature, there is a dehumidifier and air purification to ensure that the smell of a day on the river doesn't come home with you.
There is not yet Canadian pricing, but the ultimate angling accessory will hook you for an additional £80,000 in the UK.
