Alfa Romeo has just released Canadian pricing for their 2017 Giulia sport sedan. The compact Italian luxury car will start at under $50,000 when it arrives at dealers in early 2017. The lineup will consist of the base Giulia, the Ti, and the 505 hp Quadrifoglio.
The entry level Giulia will start at $48,995 for a rear-wheel drive model. Adding all-wheel drive to that will cost $2,000. That car recives a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 280 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque. The transmission for both rear and all-wheel drive is an eight-speed automatic. The car comes well equipped, with heated seats, steering wheel, and navigation. The Giulia Ti model starts at $50,995 (with AWD $2,000 more) and adds bigger wheels, rear wood trim, and a bigger infotainment display. Sport and Lusso (luxury) packages will be available for $2,500 and $3,250 respectively.
The performance model is the Giulia Quadrifoglio. That model is $87,995 and sports a 2.9L twin-turbo V6 that makes 505 hp and 443 lb-ft. It is the most powerful engine Alfa's ever put in a road car. There are suspension and wheel upgrades to go with the engine that gives handling that leads to what Alfa Romeo calls the fastest four-door production sedan lap time around the famed Nürburgring.
