Kia's Stinger GT Sports Sedan Now Available to Order

Kia's Stinger GT, the twin-turbo all-wheel drive sports sedan, is one step closer to arriving in Canada. That means that Kia has hinted at pricing and the car is now available for pre-sale orders.

The Stinger GT is Kia's first real sports sedan. It has a 3.3L twin-turbo V6 that makes 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Behind that engine is an eight-speed automatic, and the first all-wheel drive system Kia has ever put in a sedan.

Putting the sport in the sedan are 19-inch wheels with 225 wide front and 255 wide rear performance tires. Inside those wheels are Brembo performance brakes. It's Kia's first attempt at a serious sports car. They've tuned the adaptive suspension at the Nurburgring race track for increased performance and ride and handling. The all-wheel drive system is rear biased for tail-out fun.

The two launch trims are GT and GT Limited. The GT has a heated wheel, heated leather seats, and a nine-speaker stereo running through a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

GT Limited adds a head-up display, ventilated front seats with upscale Nappa leather with a red or black interior, a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen with 15-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, adaptive headlights, and a surround view camera. The GT gets carbon fibre-look trim, while the Limited swaps that for aluminum.

Kia says the GT starts under $47,000, with the Limited under $52,000. Exact pricing will be released closer to the car's launch. That launch will likely occur 74 days from now when the timer on Kia's site counting down the pre-order period ends.
