Fiat 500X Gets New Trim, 500L Gets a Facelift

Fiat is freshening up a pair of 500s. The 500X gets a new Urbana trim and the 500L gets some refreshed styling inside and out.

The Urbana trim offers black and copper accents to the subcompact crossover. The mirror caps, door handles, taillights, fascias and sill mouldings are all miron black, as are the 18-inch wheels. The 500X logos get a copper-accent look.

The colours carry over to the inside, with copper embroidered 500 logos embroidered on the black chevron-patterned seats. The centre console, radio, and vent bezels are also miron black.

The Urbana Edition adds $795 to front and all-wheel drive 500X Trekking. The Trekking is the outdoorsy trim, with more cladding and accents intended to give an off-road look. The 2017 Fiat 500X Urbana Edition will arrive at Fiat dealers this fall.

Fiat has given the 500L a light refresh inside and out for 2018. It starts with new fascias front and rear. The nose has revised upper and lower grilles and some new chrome. The changes in the rear are similar with a new side reflector and the bodyside moulding has been revised.

The interior sees revised climate controls and the shifter and cup holders swap positions. There is a new steering wheel with a much smaller airbag. The instrument cluster is also updated. The 500L gets Uconnect 4 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard on all trims.

2017 Fiat 500X Urbana pricing:
Front-wheel drive $29,540
All-wheel drive $33,235
