Acura Prices All-New 2019 RDX

Acura is bringing an all-new RDX to market June 15th. It adds more tech, a more athletic design, a new engine, and a $1,000 price increase.

The new RDX drops the V6 of the current model for a 2.0L turbo-four. The engine makes 272 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. That's down 7 hp from the old V6 but up 28 lb-ft. It also offers that torque over a wider range and it's up 40 percent in the low end versus the old engine. The new engine also gets significantly better fuel economy ratings, with the new model rated at 11.0 L/100 km city, 8.6 highway versus the 12.4/8.7 of the outgoing truck.

Acura says the new model is the first that's completely designed using the brand's latest design language. It has Acura's Jewel Eye LED headlights, pentagon grille, and big air intakes.

Inside, there is more space and more premium finishes. Those include hand-wrapped leather, a soft-touch dash, and brushed aluminum or open-pore Olive Ash wood trim.

The 2019 RDX debuts a new infotainment system and interface for Acura. The new Android-based system uses a 10.2-inch display and a touchpad to operate it mounted in the center console. The system is standard on all RDX trims and has Apple CarPlay and available over the air updates. Android Auto connectivity will follow.
