Nissan's booth at this year's Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas puts the spotlight on a range of vehicles conceived not only to go fast and sound good, but also to do good.
Nissan Project Clubsport 23
In the go-fast camp is the Project Clubsport 23, a 370Z coupe that Nissan calls an "ongoing parts development platform" that showcases the extensive catalog of parts available for the Z through Nissan Motorsports and the aftermarket at large.
Of interest to us is the car's "factory fresh" 400-hp, 3.0L twin-turbo V6, an engine the upscale Infiniti brand offers in the Q50 and Q60 models. Taken along with "extensive" upgrades to the car's suspension, steering, braking and cooling systems, we wonder if that engine's inclusion is a hint as to the future of the Z sports car.

Nissan Kicks Sound Machine
Hollywood movie car specialist Vehicle Effects put together the Kicks Sound Machine, which turns the subcompact crossover into a mobile DJ booth.
DJ controls are fitted to a drawer at the vehicle's rear, and those are wired to speakers in the rear and side windows, others cleverly integrated into the roof and hidden *under* the car, and the pair built into the driver's headrest of every Kicks in its range-topping SR trim.
And because the Kicks' SR's 17-inch wheels are not nearly showy enough, the Sound Machine sits on slick 18-inch black rims.
Nissan Ultimate Service Titan
The first of two Titan pickup trucks Nissan brought to SEMA includes this one, built in collaboration with the American Red Cross in South Florida and following on a five-year partnership between the automaker and charity.
It started out as a Titan XD Diesel modified with a custom bed box that houses a desk, solar power generator, wifi hotspot, bed, kitchen and first aid kit. Conceived as a mobile command centre for Red Cross volunteers, the truck's off-road capability allows emergency response personnel to more easily access disaster sites.
PAWS ONE Titan
The second modified Titan pickup was created with the help of Animal Rescue Rigs, a charity that supports animal rescue efforts in the wake of natural disasters.
This gasoline-powered Titan Pro-4X is more than just a show vehicle: Nissan says it is actually slated for deployment next year, when it will be used by trained search and rescue staff.
