Mazda Prices All-New 2019 Mazda3 and Mazda3 Sport

There's an all-new Mazda3 coming for 2019. Mazda gave the sedan and hatch their Canadian auto show debuts in Montreal yesterday, showcasing newly available all-wheel drive, along with pricing for the new cars.

The Mazda3 and Mazda3 Sport, that's the sedan and the hatch respectively, will come in three trim levels. Much like the old model, they'll be available in GX, GS, and GT trims. The base GX starts well under $20,000 and comes with a 7.0-inch LCD digital gauge cluster display, 8.8-inch Mazda Connect infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and LED head and tail lights. A Convenience Package option will add 16-inch alloys, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, AC, heated seats, cruise control, and body colour trim. The $18,000 base price is $2,000 more than the outgoing car.

The Mazda3 Sport GX will come with the Convenience Package features standard. At $21,300, that puts it $3,300 over the cheapest sedan or $1,000 more than a similarly equipped sedan. A six-speed manual is standard with the 2.0L four and a six-speed automatic is optional.

The GS trim starts at $22,700, adding dual-zone climate, heated and leather-wrapped wheel, automatic wipers and headlights, and i-Activsense active safety features. The i-Activsense pack comes with radar cruise, smart city brake support with pedestrian detection, high-speed smart brake support, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and distance recognition support. The GS trim can be optioned with the 2.5L Skyactiv four that makes 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. An all-wheel drive system is also available, both require the automatic transmission. A Luxury Package adds leatherette seats with 10-way power adjustment for the driver. It also comes with a moonroof.

Top trim is the GT, which gets the 2.5L engine standard, along with GS Luxury goodies. Plus it includes 18-inch alloys, auto-level adaptive headlights, and Bose audio. Options on the sedan include leather and power adjustment for the seats, smart brake support-rear, keyless entry and ignition, navigation, head-up display, and satellite radio.

Buyers who want the big engine and a manual will want the Mazda3 Sport GT. It gets the auto as standard, but can be had with a third pedal option. As long as you want front-drive. The AWD is auto-only. The manual comes with the Premium Package included.

The 2019 Mazda3 should be in dealers this quarter.
