Nissan Goes Pathfinding with Rock Creek Edition

Nissan is adding some rugged looks to the Pathfinder with a new Rock Creek edition. It adds a more off-road ready appearance on the outside, and some luxury touches on the inside.

Nissan says that the Rock Creek edition name "was chosen to connect to Pathfinder's family outdoor adventure-minded target customers." To that end, it comes with new details like black fender flares that cover dark-finish 18-inch wheels. There are also black roof rails, black door handles, and black mirrors.

Further setting the Rock Creek Edition apart from lesser Pathfinders, it has a special front fascia that looks like a skid plateĀ and adds a black mesh grille. The Rock Creek introduces a new Midnight Pine exterior paint and comes in that and three other shades.

On the inside, the Pathfinder Rock Creek adds two-tone seats with black and a cement-like dark grey colour for the cushion. It gets special Rock Creek embroidery in the backrest, along with contrast stitching. That stitching continues onto the doors, center console, and the steering wheel. It also has metallic interior trim and all-season rubber mats.

The Rock Creek edition comes with the same 3.5L V6 as the standard Pathfinder, offering 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. The Rock Creek model comes with a trailer tow hitch and wiring harness, and can haul up to 2,727 kg.

The package can be added to SV Tech and SL Premium trims. It adds $1,800 to the price of either of those and should be available soon at dealers.
