Fiat 500X Gets New Sport Trim, Pricing for 2020 Lineup Announced

Fiat is bringing a new Sport trim of its 500X small crossover to the market. It will get a new body kit, a new exterior colour, and some trim changes inside.

The 500X Sport starts by replacing the dark grey cladding of the rest of the 500X lineup with body-coloured trim pieces. There's also a new and more aggressive look to the front fascia that gets a big lower inlet. The rear bumper has also been tweaked with new chrome exhaust tips. There's some trim that's not body-colour, like the Fiat wing in the nose, surrounding the taillights and the door handles. New 18-inch alloys are standard, but 19s are available, the first time Fiat has put wheels that large on a 500X. The Rovente Red in the photos is a new colour, and the Sport can also be had in white, black, grey, and blue, with an optional black roof. Fiat has placed a large, shiny Sport badge at the base of the A-pillars.

Inside, there's a dark headliner and pillars with new finishes on the door panels and center console, with a new "techno-leather" steering wheel with red stitching and Alcantara inserts. The top of the instrument cluster now wears an Alcantara covering and the cluster itself gets new graphics.

Powering the 500X Sport is the 1.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that powers all 500X models. It delivers 177 hp with 210 lb-ft of torque, and comes with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Active safety bits like radar cruise and front park assist are optional.

The 500X Sport will start from $33,495 when it arrives in the first quarter of next year. Fiat has also priced the rest of the 500X lineup, which will start from $31,995 for Pop, $32,995 for Trekking, and $33,995 for Trekking Plus, which makes them the same price as last year's model.
