Chevrolet’s fashion-forward Blazer crossover is getting an update for 2023 that includes some swanky new taillights. It will also get even thinner new accent lamps, an available blue interior, and a larger screen on every trim.
The latest Blazer arrived for 2019, giving Chevrolet’s crossover lineup some of the style of its classic Camaro. The updates for 2023 keep the crossover's fashion fresh, especially the plain old taillights that have been dropped for new units with light strips that twist and turn inside the housing. The front end drops its old LED daytime running lights for a sharper-looking pair, while the chrome trim on the nose now drops down to highlight the actual headlights as well as underline the daytime running lights (DRLs), which are also LEDs now.
Inside, Chevrolet has moved to a larger 10.0-inch touchscreen, which replaces the old 8.0-inch unit and will have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging will be standard on the RS and Premier trims, and an option on the LT and True North.
RS models will get an available Nightshift Blue interior (GM didn’t share photos of it), and there will also be new 18, 20, and 21-inch wheel designs with new extra-cost exterior colours including fountain blue and copper bronze metallic.
Engines are unchanged, with a 228-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder standard on the LT and a 3.6L V6 with 308 hp standard on the rest and optional on the LT. Both engines get a nine-speed automatic transmission, and the V6 comes with all-wheel drive. AWD is an option on the LT 2.0T.
The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer will be available this summer, with pricing to follow.
