The 2025 Lincoln Aviator will wear the brand's new design language and has been upgraded with advanced hands-free highway driving assistance technology.
Lincoln's biggest update is right up front, with a larger grille connected by new headlights. The lights have a new LED signature and deliver welcome lighting in what the company calls the Lincoln Embrace. Adaptive pixel lights that can select where they illuminate will be offered. Lincoln will also offer a light-up version of its badge, becoming the latest luxury carmaker to do so.
Larger digital screens highlight the reconfigured cabin. A bezel-free 12.4-inch screen keeps the driver informed, while the centre screen is 13.2 inches disgonally. The new centre screen adds Google built-in tech, including Google Maps and other apps. It will let the driver pick between Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa for voice controls that operate the climate control system as well as the usual map and audio features.
Lincoln is also adding a web browser to the system. Users can surf the web when parked and even use a Bluetooth wireless keyboard. Streaming video is also offered with YouTube and other streaming services, while video conferencing is coming.
BlueCruise, Lincoln's hands-free driver assistance system, is standard and includes a four-year subscription. BlueCruise can handle most driving on highways, letting the driver take their hands off the wheel; however, the driver must still be alert and ready to take the wheel at any time.
Lincoln's Co-Pilot360 2.1 Vision is also standard. This is Lincoln's more conventional driver-assistance safety suite, and it includes emergency braking, evasive steering assist, and more. It also includes a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and reverse braking assist.
2025 Lincoln Aviator Reserve trim models offer four new interior colours, Onyx, Light Space Gray, Harvest Bronze with Onyx accents, and Hot Chocolate with Onyx accents. However, Lincoln Canada won't offer the special Black Label trim offered in the U.S. that comes with open-pore Khaya wood accents and special laser-etched shapes in the seat and dashboard coverings if you pick black onyx, or an aircraft-inspired turned aluminum if you choose the Flight theme.
Other standard equipment features for the 2025 Lincoln Aviator include cabin auto air refresh, a panoramic roof, a head-up display, heated and ventilated front seats, and an adaptive suspension. A 14-speaker Revel audio system is included, which can be upgraded to 28 speakers. Also standard is the ability to use your phone as a key.
One other change Lincoln is making is dropping the most fuel-efficient option. The Aviator will only be available with a 3.0L 400-hp twin-turbo V6. The plug-in hybrid Grand Touring model has been discontinued.
Lincoln dealers are taking orders for the 2025 Aviator now. Deliveries start in the summer, with pricing to come later.
