Genesis Announces G80 Sport's All-Inclusive Price

Genesis has just announced pricing for their latest luxury sedan. The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport will add power and tech to the G80 and it comes in at $62,000.

Genesis pricing is all-inclusive. That means that the nice and even $62,000 includes just about everything except for tax. It covers delivery, freight, even the brand's home valet service, maintenance, and navigation system map updates for five years or 100,000 km.

The G80 Sport takes the 3.3L turbocharged V6 from the larger G90 sedan. That means 365 hp and 376 lb-ft, slotting in between the 311 hp 3.8L V6 in the base model and the 420 hp 5.0L V8 of the Ultimate trim. The G80 Sport has an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.

The Sport features include 19-inch wheels and copper details on the outside. Inside, Genesis has added real carbon fiber trim, Nappa leather sport seats, and a smaller-diameter steering wheel. Underneath, the G80's adaptive suspension has been upgraded for "improved body motion control." It gets bigger brakes to haul it all down.

On the tech side, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is included, and pedestrian detection has been added to the emergency braking system.

The 2018 G80 Sport should be available at dealers soon, with the rest of the 2018 G80 lineup following later in the year. Hyundai's upstart luxury brand still says they expect to have six new models by 2021, so look for more from Genesis.
