jberniep Good used car but expensive to fix July 08, 2021 Premium Plus Quattro
Overall Score
I traded a 2013 Ram 1500 sport Pick Up truck in to get something with better gas mileage and got this 2013 Audi A4 in 2017 on an even trade. After 4 years of ownership I can say I enjoy driving this car very much. It is nimble and smooth on both city streets and the highway. There are a few things I do not care for. I am not that big at 6'1" 220 pounds but getting in and out in not easy. Once you are seated it is very comfortable to drive even for long trips. The leather interior is quite nice. The car handles very well and is sporty but not that fast. The S4's larger engine is much faster, it is like night and day. It is extremely expensive to fix. I had to replace the fuel pump a month ago at a cost of $1850.00 and at the start of the summer, I had to change a sensor the the AC and it was $400.00 The other thing to consider when buying is that it takes Premium gas which is 10 to 15 cents more a gallon than regular.

On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, could eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger frontal airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. As a result, if the vehicle were involved in a collision that warrants airbag deployment, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants, and the airbag assembly could be damaged, preventing proper function. These issues could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag inflator. Note: Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. The recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk, and is expected to replace airbag inflators before their function would be affected. Additional Note: This recall supersedes recalls 2016-266 (Audi Recall 69O2), 2017-026 (Audi Recall 69P6) and 2018-022 (Audi Recall 69U1). Vehicles completed under the previous recalls require repair under this recall, as the previous recall remedy was an interim repair. Interim repair parts must be replaced with final repair parts. Additional Note: For the 2009 model year A4 and S4 models, only the Cabriolet versions are involved in this campaign.

On certain vehicles, the driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury.
