Issue: On certain trucks, the turn signal telltale may flash at the same speed when a turn signal bulb fails. As a result, you may not notice when a turn signal bulb is not working. Canadian regulations require a change in the turn signal flash rate when a bulb fails. Safety Risk: A turn signal telltale that doesn't work properly could cause you to be unaware when a turn signal bulb fails. Additionally, turn signals that do not work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module (BCM).

Issue: On certain trucks equipped with the trailer tow package, a wiring circuit to the trailer tow electrical connector is missing. As a result, the trailer tail lamps won't work when towing a trailer. Safety Risk: Trailer tail lamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to add the missing electrical circuit to the engine bay wiring harness.
