Parked or driving, this car gets a ton of attention – and for good reason. Genesis has knocked the design out of the park in my opinion. I was at an event for one of my daughters, and a gaggle of other waiting fathers gathered around the 2017 Genesis G90, and within a minute, every passenger seat was filled with an admirer and I was answering dozens of questions. First impressions matter, and anyone who talked to me about this car had only positive things to say about its exterior styling.

Issue: Under certain conditions, the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly could become damaged. If this happens, oil could leak onto hot components. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.3 L turbo (T-GDI) engine. This recall replaces recall R0159 (Transport Canada recall number 2019-350). Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly.

Issue: Under certain conditions, water could leak into the starter solenoid. If this happens, the solenoid could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an updated relay in the engine junction box. Hyundai recommends that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.
