2009 Infiniti FX35

NEW FOR 2009:

For 2009, the Infiniti FX has been redesigned, now in its second generation.

The new FX includes new and more powerful engines, a seven-speed automatic transmission in place of the previous five-speed, new interior and exterior styling, and new standard or available features and technologies. A new V8 engine changes the name from FX45 to FX50.

The FX is available as the FX35, with 3.5-litre V6, or as the FX50, with 5.0-litre V8, both with a standard seven-speed automatic transmission featuring Adaptive Shift Control, downshift rev matching, and magnesium paddle shifters. Both models use Infiniti's ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split) all-wheel drive system, which includes a Snow-Mode function that adjusts the throttle input for low-speed slippery road conditions.

Features on the FX35 include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, tire pressure monitoring system, automatic bi-xenon headlamps, heated mirrors with puddle lamps, power sunroof, electrical tailgate closure assist, aluminum roof rails, Intelligent Key with pushbutton start, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, heated and cooled eight-way leather seats with driver's side memory, 60/40 split-folding reclining rear seat, power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped wheel, aluminum pedals, illuminated vanity mirrors, garage door opener, cargo net, cargo cover, six-CD/MP3 Bose stereo with XM satellite radio, iPod interface, auto up/down front windows, rearview monitor, cruise control, variable intermittent wipers, rear intermittent wiper, compass, and multi-function trip computer.

The FX50 adds 21-inch alloy wheels, advanced climate control system, performance brakes, chrome body side moulding, maple wood interior trim, and power up/down rear windows.

Both models can be optioned with lane departure warning and lane departure prevention systems, navigation system, rear-seat DVD entertainment system, 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive system, and rain-sensing wipers; the FX50 can also be optioned with a Sport Package of adaptive auto-levelling headlamps, rear active steer, sport seats, summer performance tires, and continuous damping control suspension.
