Model Overview
The F-Pace is Jaguar's mid-size luxury crossover model; it was also Jag's first utility at its 2017 debut. This is one handsome cat, its design deftly blending details from the car models that used to be this British brand's bread and butter. The mid-size lux-ute segment is broad, and Jaguar covers much of it with the F-Pace's range of powertrains, including a wild V8-powered SVR trim.

Issue:
On certain vehicles, an oil channel in the engine camshaft carrier wasn't drilled correctly. As a result, a buildup of oil pressure could cause an oil leak.
Safety Risk:
An engine oil leak can create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Jaguar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the camshaft carrier and replace it, if necessary. The dealer will also replace the catalytic converter, gasoline particulate filter (GPF) and exhaust oxygen sensors, as necessary.

Issue:
On a small number of vehicles, the audio amplifier module (AAM) may not have been installed. As a result, there would be no sound warnings to the driver, including the seat belt reminder chime, the turn signal tick-tock and warnings from the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
Safety Risk:
Driving a vehicle with no audible warnings may increase the risk of a crash. A seat belt warning that does not work correctly may not remind you to buckle your seat belt. Not wearing your seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Jaguar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install the audio amplifier module.

On certain vehicles, the passenger seat belt assemblies may contain defective automatic locking retractors (ALR). As a result, the seat belts may not properly lock to secure a child seat.
Note: The vehicle's lower universal anchorage system (UAS) is not affected by this defect and may still be used to secure a child seat.

A seat belt that is used to secure a child restraint but is not properly locked could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:

Issue:
On certain vehicles, the engine crankshaft pulley bolt may have been manufactured improperly. This could cause it to crack and fail. If this happens, the crankshaft could break and cause a sudden engine failure. A driver may hear loud noises and see warning lights on the dash immediately before the engine fails.
Safety Risk:
An engine failure could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loose pulley could separate from the engine and cause damage. If it separates from the vehicle, it could become a hazard for bystanders or other drivers.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to an authorized repair facility to have the crankshaft pulley bolt replaced with a new one.

This could cause an oil leak, vibration, or potentially result in the driveshaft separating from the differential, causing a loss of motive power and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
