Kia's entry in the near-luxury sedan segment is the Cadenza, which gains a third trim level, dubbed Premium, for 2016.
All three trims share a 3.3L V6 engine that generates 293 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque and comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Fuel consumption estimates are 12.7/8.4 L/100 km (city/highway).
Standard kit includes 18-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust, electric power steering, tilt-and-telescopic steering column, paddle shifters, rear parking sensors, backup camera, navigation, 12-speaker stereo, fog lights, LED daytime running lights, positioning lights and taillights, power-folding and heated side mirrors, footwell lighting, leather upholstery, heated front seats, eight-way power driver and four-way power front passenger seat adjustments, leather and wood-trimmed steering wheel, intelligent keyless entry with push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, tire pressure monitoring, rear-seat ventilation and a luggage net.
The new Premium trim adds a panoramic sunroof, steerable HID headlights, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, electric steering wheel adjustment, electric rear-window sunshade, upgraded gauge cluster, premium leather upholstery, driver's seat memory and seat cushion extension, heated steering wheel and windshield wiper de-icer.
Finally, the top-end Tech trim gets LED fog lights, rear armrest with USB charging port, eight-way power front passenger seat, adjustable steering assist, electric parking brake, 19-inch wheels, hydrophobic front door glass, radar cruise control, blind spot detection and lane departure warning.
Prices range from $37,995 to $45,595.
