Since 2018, the Kia Stinger has served as the Korean brand’s flagship sedan. That said, it’s actually not a sedan: at the car’s rear is a hatchback opening that reveals a generous trunk. The Stinger shares its platform with Hyundai’s upscale Genesis brand.

For 2022, the Kia Stinger gets a gentle styling update and a revised interior with a few tech upgrades.
Available Trims
Kia offers the 2022 Stinger in GT Limited and GT Elite trim levels. Both use a 3.3L twin-turbo V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and AWD.
Standard Features
GT Limited trim comes wearing 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, auto on/off LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, a sunroof, heated/power-folding/auto-dimming side mirrors, passive keyless entry, hands-free tailgate, and a dual exhaust.
Inside, there’s leather seating, 12-way power front seats with heat and ventilation, heated steering wheel and rear seats, stainless steel door scuff plates, dual-zone automatic A/C, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, a 15-speaker stereo with satellite radio, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, wireless smartphone charging, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Standard in all Stingers is blind spot monitoring with collision avoidance assist, lane keep and lane follow assist, forward collision detection/avoidance with junction turning function, radar cruise, highway drive assist, rear parking sensors, and rear cross traffic alert.
GT Elite adds adaptive headlights, Nappa leather, a head-up display, and a blind spot view system with 360-degree cameras.
A GT Elite Suede package adds leather seats with suede inserts, red stitching, suede dash trim, and red seatbelts.

Kia’s fuel consumption estimates are 13.7/9.6 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
The Kia Stinger’s closest competitors are the Volkswagen Arteon, BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, and Audi A5 Sportback. If you’re not set on a liftback body, you might also look at the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and the Volvo S60 and V60.
