The Porsche Panamera is a mid-size executive sedan, and remains the first four-door car model in the brand's history. A second-generation Panamera debuted in 2017, and a Sport Turismo wagon variant arrived for 2018.

For 2020, Porsche celebrates the Panamera's 10th year of production with a commemorative 10 Years Edition, which comes loaded with features that are normally optional.
Available Trims
The Panamera starts in a base model or as the AWD Panamera 4. All other trims are AWD: Sport Turismo; Executive; E-Hybrid and E-Hybrid Sport Turismo; Panamera 4S; 10 Years Edition; GTS; Turbo; and Turbo S E-Hybrid.
Engines are 3.0L and 2.9L turbo V6s and a 4.0L turbo V8. The 2.9L V6 and V8 are used in the E-Hybrid plug-in models.
All Panamera variants use an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Standard Features
Base Panamera models come with engine auto stop/start, 19-inch wheels, tire pressure monitoring, six-pistion front and four-piston rear brakes, an electric parking brake, a panoramic roof, a power tailgate, heated side mirrors, an adaptive rear spoiler, front and rear park assist, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, LED taillights, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, 8-way power front seats, a garage door opener, dual 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster displays, auto-dimming mirrors, a heated steering wheel, navigation, and a 10-speaker stereo.
The 10 Years Edition trim adds air suspension, 21-inch wheels, soft-close doors, hands-free tailgate opening, matrix beam adaptive LED headlights, four-zone climate control, 14-way power seats, and lane keep and lane change assist.
GTS reverts to 20-inch wheels and two-zone climate control.
By the time you get to the Turbo S E-Hybrid Executive, the Panamera boasts composite brakes with 10-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, 14-way comfort seats, four-zone climate controls, passive keyless entry.
Key Options
Even at the Turbo S E-Hybrid Executive price point, Porsche still charges extra for a package that comprises lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and night vision assist.
And that comes on top of a premium package plus of lane change assist, ventilated front seats, and LED matrix headlights.
Fuel Economy
Porsche's fuel consumption estimates start at 12.4/8.7 L/100 km (city/highway for the base Panamera, and range to a high of 15.7/10.5 for the GTS.
Competition
Porsche Panamera competitors include the Maserati Quattroporte, the BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes-Benz's S-Class.
