NEW FOR 2011:

Temporarily discontinued for 2010, the Volvo S60 returns for 2011 as a completely new model.
The S60 sedan uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and with all-wheel drive.
The first model available is the turbocharged T6, with an R-Design package available. A base S60 model will be added later in the model year.
Features on the T6 include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry with personal security communicator, power rear child locks, garage door opener, puddle lamps, heated leather power seats with driver’s side memory, power sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, exterior temperature gauge, heated washer nozzles, trip computer, auto up/down windows, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with compass, second-generation City Safety with pedestrian detection, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, illuminated vanity mirrors, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, CD/DVD/MP3 stereo with USB and auxiliary input, iPod interface, Sirius satellite radio, heated mirrors, rear fog lamp, and electric parking brake.
The R-Design adds 18-inch alloy wheels, strut brace, sport suspension, R-Design grille and body accents, sport seats, and R-Design steering wheel, floor mats and sport pedals.
Available options on the S60 include a park assist camera, navigation system, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and a premium stereo.

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101 - Controls and Displays. The oil pressure sensor is not activated in the original factory downloaded software. As a result, no oil pressure information would be indicated to the driver in the instrument cluster. On certain vehicles equipped with a dealer-installed optional accessory spare tire and wheel kit, the Tire and Loading Information label may not contain correct information. Since the vehicle was originally fitted (by the factory) with a tire inflation kit, the label indicates “none” as the spare tire designation, instead of spare tire size and inflation pressure information. Correction: Dealers will replace the Tire and Loading Information label.

On certain vehicles equipped with power front passenger seats, the "end stops" on the seat frame rails may be missing. If the end stops are missing, the maximum allowable seat travel may be exceeded, resulting in an increased injury risk for out of position occupants in the event of a frontal collision. Correction: Dealers will inspect the front seat rails for the presence of an "end stop", and install one if necessary.

On certain vehicles, the engine and transmission software calibration is too sensitive. When the driver brakes during city driving, and/or releases the accelerator pedal, the engine idle speed may drop resulting in a sudden engine stall without any prior warning. Engine stalling could, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions and driver's reactions, increase the risk of a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will update ECM and TCM software.
