2007 Buick Allure

by Trey5660 on 06-13-2019
Junk.
I bought this car with 260,000 km as a replacement for my Mazda6 that got dive-bombed by a deer. I can honestly say the Mazda was five times the car that this one is, save for power (tourquey 3.8L V6). However even power seems to escape this car as now my Catalytic converter is plugged causing the car to hesitate miserably. Overall , the interior and exterior design feels overly cheap, locks malfunctioning, driver side door occasionally will not open from the inside, forcing me to exit out my window or passenger door. ( I read this is a problem with the door actuator going bad..... something that honestly just shouldn't happen) Fuel economy is terrible (although fixing the exhaust may improve that). Oil dipstick stopper broken twice, no explanation as to how, ABS and traction control lights on, may or may not work, airbag randomly shuts off (hopefully just the sensor), had a doorhandle replacement before I bought it, but for a car that's only 11 years old (at the time of purchase) this is ridiculous. Cheap, shoddy piece of abysmal junk that I regret buying. I want my Mazda back.

No problems with this car!
We find the comfort to be excellent.
The average fuel consumption is 9.1 litres per 100 klms.

This vehicle has all the bells and whistles we require and we find the 40/60 rear seat to be extremely useful when transporting large packages.

It provides good, reliable transportation with minimal maintenance required and exceeds our expectations.

Problem free vehicle!
We have found this car to be very reliable.
Overall the mileage averages out at 9.1 litres per kilometer.
We find the split bench in the rear is excellent for taking bulky parcels.

Comfortable and reliable
This vehicle is great in the snow and is a terrific highway cruiser. Great mileage for a 3.8 litre V6 and there have been absolutely no mechanical issues with the car. Dealer told me these cars last forever.

Nice mid-size sedan for mid-class family
Own it since 2007, it makes all back seats guests happy and comfortable. Driving it is fun especially on High way for 4 hours non-stop riding, you feel it is reliable and safe.

Comfortable, Economical Car
Although some people may associate Buick with the older crowd, I am only 36 and I LOVE my Allure. In my business, there is a lot of driving involved, and the 3.8L engine is super reliable, and has lots of pep, especially lots of passing power. I actually really like the styling- mine is black, with the chrome package, and when it's all cleaned up, it looks very classy. Understated class, without being too ostentatious. Would certainly buy one again. Mine has rolled over 200,000kms recently. Only thing I've had to do is water pump, tires, brakes, and one wheel hub. Very, very reliable; maintenance prices are reasonable too, parts seem readily available. I will definitely buy a Buick for my next new vehicle-- probably a Regal Turbo.
