Love it
This car looks as good on the inside as on the outside.
The car also works great.
There are a few minor things wrong, but if you can look past them it's great.
fyi the repairs cost a lot

Love the Traverse but many expensive repairs
I bought this vehicle brand new from the dealer. It's an excellent ride with lots of room. We have taken it on many family trips which include pulling a travel trailer. Tonnes of power and very comfortable for the long journeys. Although it is the worst vehicle I have ever driven in the snow! Should have paid extra for all wheel drive!
On the down side It has been to the dealer several times for recalls and repairs that shouldn't happen to vehicles of this calibre and price point. I paid 47,000
Both the air conditioner and power steering stopped working on shortly after the bumper to bumper warranty expired. The dealer was somewhat helpful and absorbed some of the cost but I still paid over 1500 for the repairs. 2 Years later GM recalled the power steering pump but they wouldn't reimburse me.
As I write this review my traverse is in the shop again having a new fly wheel installed because the starter motor went and tore out 17 teeth $1700. I am also experiencing suspension problems, which I expect given the age and the fact that we tow a trailer.
This vehicle is also known for timing chain problems which can cost up to $3000 to fix. My Traverse is at 173K. Only synthetic oil every 8K. This is the reason I have avoided this problem but it could happen anytime now!
I recently experienced engine sputtering on the highway. The dealer said the #4 ignition coil went. Was quoted 650 to replace it. They recommended that the other 5 be done at the same time for a grand total of $1200 Yikes! Each coil costs 125. In the manual it recommends changing the spark plugs and coils at 160K. $1400 seems like a lot of money to pay for scheduled maintenance. I ordered the coils and sparks plugs online and did the work myself for around 600 and the vehicle runs like brand new again.
To sum it up I love the Traverse for the comfort space and driving. But it is very expensive to fix and there has been many trips the auto shop.

5 Stars for Safety.
A driver ran a red light and t-boned the Traverse with driver side impact and the passenger side hit a pole. The Traverse was written off, but all four passengers walked away unharmed. We will replace it with another Traverse.

ottawa to manhattan on one tank!
Cadillac V6 engine makes this a smooth ride for any family adventure. Loads of room for the whole family and all the gear. Roof rails ready to take on more stuff! With a Tow capacity of 5600lbs, you can really go places with this charm of a ride.

Not a Mini Van - Lots of space
Great truck. Love the 4 bucket leather chairs and can fit 7 if needed with space still behind the 3rd row for bags. Very easy to move seats to accommodate people or your things. Drives more like a truck, feels heavy and sturdy on road.

Chevrolet Traverse
very good overall large CUV. great versatility for up to 8 passengers, or up to 5 people with lots of cargo room left over. great tow vehicle for our RV too. one thing i highly recommend that i wish i had myself would be the rear backup camera. a must-have with this large vehicle, rear visibility is sort of poor... fuel economy is ok but not great. take it easy on the go pedal if you want to save some $.

Excellent vehicle for our Manitoba winters, Good gas mileage for a large SUV. 0 problems. Rides and handles great. Love the 60/40 rear split seat, allows us to take lots of hockey gear and players. Have about 40,000 kms on it now.
