Great Bang For Your Buck
Was Originally Going To Purchase A Jeep But Went And Test Drove The Sorento was a great surprise it had real great pick up and go as I test drove the turbo surprising since it is only 4 cylinder vs the Jeep so in the end you save gas on the kia vs the jeep. I am happy to have heated seats for winter and cooled seats for the summer on those hot sweaty days

Great SUV for The Price
I Love my new Kia Sorento its very room and I like the heated and cooled front seats as well as the heated back seats and the heated steering wheel. Being a 4 cylinder I was hesitant that it wouldn't have the get up and go as the jeep I was considering but with the turbo it put my worries to ease

Quality Car
Could not ask for a better vehicle. it has a pep of a v8 but saving money in gas costs being a 4 cylinder turbo. The leather seats are great they are heated in the winter along with the steering wheel and the cooled leather seats are great for the hot sumer months. My kids really enjoy the back seats with the sun screens and the heated seats as well. The panoramic sunroof brings lots of light into the car and the trunk area is huge and roomy and accomodates 2 80lb dogs

2016 Kia Sorento

So far so great!
Purchased the car under 60K in Feb.2016 and I am wrting this review on April 2016 (3K on it in two months)
Very quite cabin, engine is extremely powerful and has high torque.
Fuel economy - higway is good but I found city driving a bit lower than what I expect(mixed driving 60 city/40 hwy getting 11lt/100 km)
I have a White pearl color and overall looking very stylish for an $25,000 car.
Driver seat adjustment too a little while to get to the comfort level.
I still think the front seats could have been better as it is not as comfortable as I expect (I'm 6ft 220lbs.)
Overall when I compare this features/price it is much better than highlander, pathfinder and santa fe which were the other three 7 seater options I was looking.
Try test driving it you will love it!

2016 Kia Sorento

Beware with the towing capacity!
I loved the car when I bought it 4 months ago, but now I feel betrayed by Kia.

I wanted a family car that could be able to tow up to 5000 pounds, because I had plans to buy a small travel trailer, that weights more than 3000 pounds (dry).

Kia and the dealership advertise that it can tow up to 5000 pounds, but it is not legally true. To be able to tow more than 3000 pounds, in Ontario, it is required to have brakes in the trailer, and a brake controller must be installed in the car.

The problem is that Kia does not have/install this part, which means that you can legally tow only up to 3000 pounds.

Even if the dealership sends this car to a reputable hitch company to install the brake controller, the warranty in the modified parts in the car are voided.

So, this car cannot tow 5000 pounds legally in Ontario and in other provinces, what left me really disappointed. Now I have a new car that was supposed to be able to tow small travel trailers, and a travel trailer, and I cannot use my new car to tow the trailer without voiding the warranty.

If I'd have this information before, I would definitely not buy this car, as I needed one that could tow 5000 pounds legally and safely.

2016 Kia Sorento

Kia
I am very disappointed and upset with my new purchased Kia Sorento, The body lines do not match up where the driver’s door meets !! The bottom half of the rear edge of the left front door sticks out and I couldn't get it fixed neither customer service can solve the problem after hours of service time and three attempts.

First they were talking about there is no small issues for them then after a month they told me couple of inches is acceptable. This shows their products are not really good as expected. How you can assume what is acceptable for them.

This is a big deal to me on a brand new $30k car

2016 Kia Sorento

Trim: SX 2.0T
by Hoser1 on 06-25-2015
No regrets so far
Only had it for 3 months, but it is proving to be a great purchase so far. Its competition was a Santa Fe and an RDX. I happen to like the styling of this new Sorento; from the side it reminds me of an MDX, which I would've really preferred, but I could not justify the additional $$$. Lots of features in the Sorento for the price. My wife and I are also very impressed with how quiet it is at steady-state highway cruise speed. The 2.0T engine has got lots of jump for prompt passing when necessary. We tried the V-6, and it was about the same passing performance, but we really didn't need the 3rd row (which also didn't help the MDX's case). The car magazine reviews are correct; the Sorento's 3rd row seat is only good for very small children, or people you don't like. The 5-seat SX also yields under-floor storage areas back there that the 7-seater does not have. Our other vehicle is a 2012 Golf GTI, and it's a tough decision sometimes as to which one leaves the garage first. One small gripe; after I drive the GTI, I realize that the Sorento's steering is a cut or 2 below that of the GTI. I get it; they are different vehicles, but once you seen Paris.......
