Your everyday family suv
Had it since 2005, being the second driver this SUV has never given us any problems besides windshield wiper fluid leak. Overall a mercedes will always be a mercedes. We have sold this one and plan on upgrading to a bluetec in the next month!

Tons of Power
Mercedes is Mercedes.

Excellent performance with max. comfort.
If you are into "classic", you will def. love dark brown wood trim with black leather stiches for interior.
Chrome trims on front body is excellent, with wide body.

Fuel wise, u know its V8 with tons of power. @$1.4/liter, full tank = $130+ (91, premium) it goes about 400-450km (highway & local). IF you are concern about gas, think about 350 instead of 550. IF you love power, but do NOT wanna spend $4000 breakpad, consider 550 instead of 63AMG. IF you are rich, just buy 63AMG.

Fabulous & Dependable car
This car will never dissapoint you in every way. Ultra comfortable, very quiet drive, always start even in 50 degrees below zero.
The safest car to drive in a snow storm by far.
Very sad to let it go, but I have to move out of country.

Mint condition, terrific ride for many years to come
Mercedes comfort, handling and style is all included in one package called ML 350. The ride is quite smooth while in a SUV. The luxury is available in indefinite number of options while some can be switched off to feel the off road handling of this amazing SUV.
This car is a must see and fall in love. The Alpine Rain color is quite beautiful combined with the Ash leather upholstery and the wood trim including the steering wheel.

I've had it for a long time. It's getting old, but the comfort it has given over the years is priceless. The seats are really comfortable and the design is chic. Be careful about the mileage though; not exactly the most fuel economic or environmental friendly car

Comfort at a price
The car is extremely comfortable for both driver and passengers, its super beautiful exterior and pretty nice interior is a pleasure to look at. The drive itself - smooth but your can definitely feel its a heavier car. One issue does seem to bother me quite a bit, change from media devices (CD -->Radio-->AUX, etc) is not very efficient, since its requiers quite a bit of buttons - I think they fixed it in the newer models. Fuel wise, its not bad for a 4wheel drive luxury; long distance wise its not too bad, its the constant short trips its not too efficient with - and ends up quite expensive (considering premium is at like $1.50 ish a L), but thats the price you gotta pay for luxury. That aside, the care is awesome and was worth the hefty price tag!

Excellent Ride & Fuel Economy
I've averaged 30,000 Kms (20,000 miles) a year on highways & city driving, over snow & ice and this car is just ideal. AWD and diesel + comfort make it an awesome touring vehicle. Completely reliable and I certainly hope to replace it with a similar vehicle when the time comes. I get better fuel consumption than advertised by US EPA - overall 25 mpg (US gallons) or 9.4L/100 Kms - highway at speed limit around 28 mpg or 8.4L/100 Kms.

BEST USED CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED
I purchased this car 1.5 years ago. It is a Diesel and had just under 100,000 KM on it.

Other than new tires and regular oil changes - the car has needed nothing.

It drives very solidly and, with this model, you just have to get used to the Diesel noise of the engine. Great torque and reasonable on Diesel fuel... Great for long hauls (I typically get between 800-1000KM per tank). Fantastic on the highway. It can get a little noisy at speed though. You will go through tires quicker than most other vehicles - just a warning.

I love the reliability of this car. Great amenities on my model (heated seats, heated steering wheel, back-up camera (awesome for parallel parking), DVD-NAV (which is a little no-frills but fine), 6 CD changer with BOSE components (sounds great). motorized tilt-in side-view mirrors (great for getting into garage or through tight spaces).

Pros:
Reliabilty
Fuel Efficiency (for an SUV)
Comfort
Amenities
Handling

Cons:
Fast tire-wear
Cost of regular maintenance can be high
Engine noise at idle (if that's important to you)

Excellent Vehicle for an evening at the Symphony or the Boat Launch
This vehicle does it all. Great highway cruiser with terrific fuel numbers ~7.5L/100km hwy, 9+ in the city. I bought my vehicle CPO, and when you are looking at vehicles of this caliber they all require premium fuel and you never know if the previous owner cheaped out on this front - with a diesel this is not an issue. I pull my 5000 lb boat all over and you don't even know it is behind the truck all while getting 12L/100km - this is better than the gasoline version of the ML. MB service is, as one would expect, a bit on the expensive side. Out of warranty DIY maintenance is fairly straight forward. If you are considering buying any model year of the W164 ensure it had the transmission fluid changed at 60,000km

The vehicles handles and drives well for an SUV. It is much more truck like than a Lexus RX and I would take it over the lexus any day. Negatives on the vehicle are bad fuel economy in city and on highway. The vehicle was just reasonable in terms of reliability. We had the seat heaters burn a hole through the driver's seat, although the seat and other damage was taken care of by Mercedes. The vehicle has very poor after sale value.

Stylish but Economically Inefficient Ride
To my experience, this car has been one of the most stylish cars I've been in in years. There's not much I could say, however, based on those experiences, I believe that this car are for those who wants to feel the smoothness and the style of the car while in it. The gas consumption, however, isn't the greatest but sufficient to get to point A to point B. Without a doubt, it is stylish...

Great Car but............
I really like this car, It has that rock solid German feel and is an effortless highway cruiser. The seats are very comfortable and supportive and with the power tilt and telescopic wheel it's very east to find a comfortable driving position. Long drives aren't a problem from a fatigue point of view and that's good because the range on a tank of fuel is over 1000 kms The diesel is quiet, smoke/smell free and has gobs of torque. The fuel economy is about 35% better than the Cadillac SRX 3.6 V6 it replaced (8.8 highway and around 11.2-11.5 city)

The interior is well put together and has excellent fit and finish. Some might find it a little austere but that's a trait of German cars and one I prefer. The only downside is that I find the standard "Artico Leather" (MB speak for Vinyl) upholstery in be a little rubbery and out of place in a $60K+ vehicle.

Now the not so good....It appears Mercedes still hasn't gotten a handle on the reliability problems that have plagued the brand in recent years. I've had six warranty repairs in the first 15 months of ownership and while most have been electronic/computer problems requiring a sensor replacement or software update I was towed in once after an oil leak contaminated the serpentine belt causing it to break. I still have an unresolved problem with the climate control system that causes heavy condensation on the outside of the windshield on humid days in the summer.

While I like this car reliability concerns and the cost of post warranty MB parts and service will probably prevent me from keeping it after the warranty is up. Would I buy another one?.. undecided but leaning towards "no" at this point.

Did someone say power?
What is there to say about the 2007 Mercedes-Benz Ml500 except, get the heck out of my way! This car demands attention, power and control. A sports car performance as an suv. The styling, handling and power of this vehicle, portrays you mean business and nothing else. Although pricey, and has the occasionally technical problem, the performance and comfort of the car is really outstanding. This is a car that screams this is a Mercedes Benz, and I've got a V8.
