Toyota RAV4 2012Change

This car has been very reliable in my experience. It drives very well, and has a nice design that I am fond of. Overall, I think I made a good choice when deciding to get the Toyota RAV4.

my car is 2012 and used but runs great for fuel. it runs amazingly and starts quickly without giving me any issues. it is great on the highway and has amazing alignment. i love it

If you are looking for a basic yet reliable small SUV, this is it. We've had it for three years now with zero problems. It's great on gas but the downside is that it's pretty plan looking with a very basic interior.

Just picked up a 2012 Limited V-6 and have been very impressed thus far.
This is the third Rav4 in the family, one daughter has a '04, and the younger daughter has an '05, and we just recently got our very own gently used 2012 Rav4.
All of them have been wonderfully reliable and fun to drive!

This is a great Toyota Rav 4 but I would like to up-grade to a new Rav 4 2014 because I feel I rushed into a new car. Now I will take time to look at other crv.

No trouble, fully dependable, drove couple of long rides with no worry, very spacious, Owner's pride neighbors envy.

This is an very relibale and practical SUV, with V6 engine giveing me lot of power on the road. Great handling and very responsive.

Bought the 2012 Rav4 V6 Limited brand new from Attrell Toyota(Brampton).
Owned it for over one year and no issues what so ever. Still has the new car scent, v6 is very powerful 269HP. one of the best compact SUV in the market!

Purchased the sport model new over two years ago. No problems. Design very well thought out. Very happy with car and wouldn't trade it for any other in its price range.

As I first bought this car, I thought wow, how could it look this amazing? Later then, my family went on a fishing trip that was a 5 hour ride. My daughter kept on bugging me, "Are we there yet?". I believe that the RAV4 is a comfortable car that you can sleep in. The back of the seat gives you a choice on which angle you would prefer to sit on. Overall, I believe that the RAV4 is an amazing car. I give it a 4/5

i love the toyota rav4! it has comfortable interior and easy controls and clearly large windshield glass so that it is easy to see around on the road. I love sitting in the driver's seat because it makes me feel like im at home. The passenger seats at the back are extremely comfy, with an extreme amount of leg room space. I highly recommend this car to those young families out there!

PROS
-Runs like a top
-Active AWD is quick and responsive when needed
-4WD works like a charm and automatically disengages when up to speed
-Rear has more functional cargo space than most others in this category

NEUTRALS
-Exterior styling is getting a bit dated
Gas mileage is more around the 9-10 litres/100 km

CONS
-Seat padding thin yet hard and seat depth is very short
-Rear door open on the wrong side for North America, due to door instead of hatch blocks you from curb while open parked on side of street.
- Tank only give around a 500km drive radius

this is a great car for driving on the highway, especially in the cold harsh winters that we get up here in Canada

We have had our Rav4 for about 4 months. So far we love it. It drives great, lots of power with the V6, comfortable seats, and lots of bells and whistles. The only draw backs, pretty big blind spots (posts between windshield and front doors), and the Nav system is not great for Canada (not many addresses).

This car is a car that I enjoy driving everyday. It hasn't given me any headaches yet and it has a lot of space in the back and the front. The handling is great and I strongly recommend the V6, unless you're tight on money. For the extra cost, you get a lot more power with only a slight difference in fuel economy. But, I am puzzled as to why Toyota only offers light interiors, unless it's the sports model, which I have. I also hate the extensive use of hard plastic as it feels cheap.

Bought with family card in mind. Was a good budget car that met my needs. Choice of colors is good. Mantainance checks are not expensive either.

Obviously fuel economy can always be improved, but other than that, I got what I paid for and I'm a happy customer that will most likely stick with the same brand.

In The Past Month With This Car I Feel It Had Done Exactly What It Said It Would Do. Works Great, Runs Great, Looks Great, Really Comfortable. If you Were To Go And Buy Any Car I Would HIGHLY Suggest Getting A RAV4. All In All Its A Stupendous Car.

we purchased an arctic white Rav4 V6 Limited. The heated leather and automatic climate control features are luxuries I really enjoy. The 269hp really equates to instant performance when I need it and it's all wheel drive really rips through the heavy snow we've been 'enjoying' in Edmonton this winter. It's roomy and feels very well built. The only problem we've had is the spare wheel cover cracked when I lightly bumped a pole. It was my fault but I feel like it is quite brittle and for $700 to replace, it should be made of a more rugged material.

this car is smooth and no bumps when riding. the design is terrific, i suggest you buy this car. i have a rav4 and i love it! its better than a prius or something- maybe a chevy venture

Recently purchased a 2012 Rav 4. So happy with the comfort and all wheel drive. At the moment it has just all season tires on it but thanks to the AWD it powers through snow and ice. Very pleased with fuel economy for an SUV as I was worried about that. Very spacious on the inside and very comfortable to ride in the front or back

Very good car. Really reliable, i enjoy driving it and it runs smoothly. Has many great futures. I have never had a problem with this car. It is a very good family car.

There's no denying the current Toyota RAV4 is a great car. But in growing up, it has lost some of the original's 'joie de vivre' and so has become a little bit forgettable. The ride is pretty good, and the high driving position makes it easy to feel at ease. Passengers are reasonably well catered for too, thanks to decent head and leg room out the back. The petrol engine is a bit noisy simply because you have to rev it hard to get much of a result. The Toyota RAV4 offers a choice of two engines - a two-litre VVT-i petrol with 156bhp and a 2.2-litre D-4D diesel with 148. The petrol simply isn't good enough and makes the car feel lack-lustre. So it's the diesel which is the best choice. It has a 0-62mph time of 10.2secs and a top speed of 118mph. This equates to loads of usable torque (229lb ft from 2000rpm to 2800rpm) so there's enough poke to overtake comfortably and it cruises easily at high motorway speeds.

I just bought a new Rav4 '12 Limited with Premium Plus Package 2WD 4Cyl. With OTD price $28700, bought this in Long Beach, CA. It has Auto-dimming backup camera as well (don't really see the use for such a small car). I went to 3 dealerships and they always insist me to test drive even I said NO. The don't like to see if you're determined and focus, therefore distraction and misdirection are needed to loosen up your guard. So good luck and be careful out there

We have had our Rav4 for several months and already taken two 10 hour road trips with it. Highway fuel efficiency is tolerable, but city driving guzzles gas in this vehicle. I think it was actually worse after the break-in period was over.
Regardless, it is still one of the best vehicles we have owned. Very comfortable, even for long rides, and handles beautifully. For a 4WD SUV, the turning radius is incredible.
