Canadian Pricing for 2023 Lexus RZ 450e EV Announced

The first electric vehicle from Lexus is going on sale soon. The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e crossover will offer three trim levels to buyers starting from $64,950 in Canada.

The RZ looks like the rest of the Lexus crossover lineup, even down to the spindle grille. The difference, though, is that the grille is closed for improved aerodynamics. Aside from the face and the lack of engine noise, it's tough to spot that the 2023 RZ 450e is an EV.

Powering the 2023 Lexus RZ is a pair of electric motors. The front motor delivers 201 hp, and the rear 107 hp. A 71.4-kWh lithium-ion battery should deliver a range of up to 360 km, Lexus estimates.

Lexus starts the 2023 RZ 450e with the Signature trim from $64,950. This model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, faux leather, and heated front seats and steering wheel. It has a 14-inch touchscreen display and a 7.0-inch digital dash cluster.

Next up is the $73,550 RZ 450e Luxury trim. This trim adds a fixed panoramic roof, power tailgate, ventilated front seats, 20-inch wheels, and driver seat memory. It also gets more driver assistance features, including parking support, panoramic view monitor, traffic jam assist, and lane change assist.

Sitting atop the line is the Executive trim, with a starting price of $80,950. This grade gets Ultra-suede seating, a dimming glass roof, head-up display, adaptive headlights, and a Mark Levinson audio system. It will also come with a digital key and acoustic glass.

Lexus is showing the 2023 RZ for the first time in Canada at the Montreal Auto Show ahead of the vehicle going on sale. The automaker says it goes on sale "this winter" so expect it at dealers soon.
