2021 Volkswagen Arteon

History/Overview

Volkswagen's Arteon is a five-door coupe-style sedan that's sort of like an affordable version of the Audi A5 Sportback. A replacement for the CC but more upmarket, the model was revealed in 2017, but issues pushed back the arrival of the car until early 2019.

What's New

For 2021, Volkswagen gave the Arteon a facelift outside and a refresh inside aimed at making the vehicle look more premium than it had previously. Lower trim levels were dropped in Canada in favour of coming as a fully loaded model, with the interior finishes revised to suit.

Available Trims

Just one version of the Arteon is offered, the all-wheel drive Execline that comes with a 268 hp 2.0L turbo-four and an eight-speed automatic.

Standard Features

Standard driver assistance includes adaptive cruise, front autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian monitoring with reactive hood, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, 360-degree camera, lane assist, and road sign display. LED head and taillights are standard as is a panoramic power roof, cornering lights, power folding mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers.

For the cabin, 12-way power seats are standard with heating and ventilation for the front, heating for the rear. Three-zone climate control is standard and the seats are finished in leather. An 8.0-inch infotainment offers Wireless App-Connect including wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, there is a power liftgate, Harman Kardon audio, wireless charging, and Volkswagen digital cockpit display.

Key Options

The only options here are paint colour and black or grey leather seating.
