Kia Forte 2005-2017Change

We have the GDI engine version of this car and maybe put around 10k km per year on it. Change the oil twice a year as specified in the severe condition category.

The engine is quite noisy and shaky at low idle speed. I am also very worried that this generation of GDI engine has issues with carbon build up on the intake valves.

Now there is a recall campaign in Canada because the engine could catch on fire.

I actually really like this car, but feels like a timebomb.

I bought this car used in May of 2017. So far, aside from squeaking noises from my brakes in humid weather, I have not encountered a single issue. The car had 110,000km upon purchase.

I've had my KIA FORTE since it 2014 and have had no issues at all with it. Kept up with maintenance and that's it. Drives remarkably and will trade in for a new one

Turned 140km and the engine gave out. Some minor electrical problems including windows not closing all the way.
Factory recall of similar engines from Kia. Forte not included.
It has been 70 days since my warranty was approved and I still do not have my car back.
The dealer and Kia Canada cannot comply to my expectations and do not put forth enough effort to keep me as a Kia customer going forward

I've had my Kia Forte just over one year and it's been a great car. It looks and feels sporty, though it's practical at the same time. Despite being a smaller car, it's quite roomy. I'm 5'8" and I'm quite comfortable driving it. Kia is very reliable and the dealership is great for service.

Have had very few issues with the Forte. Got it second hand..Original owner had been hard on it but any issues were covered under warranty. Once everything was taken care of it has been great. very reliable. Very good on gas and confortable on long trips. Just returned from a 4500km trip and had no fatigue.
definitely would recommend it.

I have owned this car for 4 years now. I haven't had any issues other than normal maintenance. Car is comfortable for short drives. Handles well on the highway

This car is a fun little car (Sport tuned suspension paired up with a 6 speed and 173HP engine) to drive and surprisingly roomy inside (used it for many a camping trip). This car will make you feel like you should have paid more. Comes fully loaded with everything you will need to enjoy every minute of being inside it.
Try it before buying anything else in its class.

I love my little car and all it's bells and whistles. Seriously - heated and cooled seats? The only issue I've had is in the snow. It tends to get snow in the brakes and they lock up, which is a little scary. So good where I live because there's not much snow.

too small for me and just nto comfortable..felt closed in...handled pretty good and price is affordable.. but sorry not for me ..............................................

this kia forte is a great car and it is so very easy on gas.i do recommend.It is a compact car but it does fit myself and hubby and our 4 children...Such a happy camper.

The Forte is very comfortable, the options didn't cost a fortune and made the car even better. Love the small windows that prevent blind spots that are a problem in a lot of newer vehicles. I still like my car after two years, that is saying a lot for me.No mechanical issues as of yet, hopefully won't have any for the life of the loan. I would definitely buy another.

this car is awesome, performs well, has never broke down on me, and has never required any serious repairs over the 2 years ive owned it, definitely 0 regrets in purchasing one.

THIS CAR'S PERFORMANCE IS GREAT BUT THE GAZ ECONOMY IS A LITTLE TOO HIGH OVERAL ITS A GOOD CAR. TE LOOK IS AWSOME IN RED AND BLACK, THE COMPFORT IS VERY POOR YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE SIT ON THE GROUND AND CAN'T SEE FAR UP FRONT.

This car has been nothing but the best for me. However, with a growing cleaning company, I was in need of something a little bigger to handle all of my larger cleaning supplies.
It is an amazing car from top to bottom front to back and has treated me well as I have treated it well.

I bought it just because it's cheaper than others, after I bought, I made a comparison with others, and figured out the interior space is greater than other same level cars, and that's exactly what I need coz I am very tall.

Just got this Forte, and it is a great car, fun and easy to drive. Very comfortable. My overall gas mileage has been 8.2km/100, not the best, but coming from a truck where I got 16km/100 it is awesome. The features that this car has it great, and easy to use

cant beat the value in this car absolutely great car, I would definetly buy another Kia, drives like a sport sedan, good stability with good tires this car rocks

This car has been a pleasure to own. All my servicing has been done at the KIA dealerships. One in Mississauga and one in Toronto - BOTH a pleasure to deal with. Nothing but good experiences.

For a car that was just under 30k brand new, it's about as good as can be reasonably expected. It's no rocket, but its not slow either. The styling is OK, nothing too outrageous or too bland. It is quite comfortable for long drives and the reliability has been excellent thus far. Fuel economy is alright and if you drive with a light foot you can actually do pretty good.

My only knock on it was that some of the finish materials were of a tacky cheap plastic and really heat the car up in the sun. Also, the car struggled a bit in the snow until we put proper winter tires on it. We just replaced the all seasons with new top shelf Michelins, so that should no longer pose a problem.

No car offers this level of reliability and features at the same price point. The price is actually misleading because the car will make you think that it is worth more. When shopping for a car in this class, I highly recommend that you test drive the Forte before you decide.

I love this car. Stylish, roomy, comfy and super safe. My favourite feature is the heated seats. I bought this one because of the multible air bags and high safety rating.

I use this as the family car and it is a fantastic car in all areas. It is a very reliable and comfortable car. Both my spouse and my children love it. The other car of my household is a Rondo and it is good as well, but the Forte is better. This car is good. This car is great. This car helps me out food on the plate. That is my rap, I hope y'all liked it.

I love this type of car, it is reliable with great performance and has high mileage! This type of car I would by again without question!

i love the bluetooth built into the vehicle as well as the heated seats. I am still not convince about gas mileage. i think its stilll a little harder on fuel then i would like.
