Kia Forte 2014Change

We have the GDI engine version of this car and maybe put around 10k km per year on it. Change the oil twice a year as specified in the severe condition category.

The engine is quite noisy and shaky at low idle speed. I am also very worried that this generation of GDI engine has issues with carbon build up on the intake valves.

Now there is a recall campaign in Canada because the engine could catch on fire.

I actually really like this car, but feels like a timebomb.

I've had my KIA FORTE since it 2014 and have had no issues at all with it. Kept up with maintenance and that's it. Drives remarkably and will trade in for a new one

Turned 140km and the engine gave out. Some minor electrical problems including windows not closing all the way.
Factory recall of similar engines from Kia. Forte not included.
It has been 70 days since my warranty was approved and I still do not have my car back.
The dealer and Kia Canada cannot comply to my expectations and do not put forth enough effort to keep me as a Kia customer going forward

Have had very few issues with the Forte. Got it second hand..Original owner had been hard on it but any issues were covered under warranty. Once everything was taken care of it has been great. very reliable. Very good on gas and confortable on long trips. Just returned from a 4500km trip and had no fatigue.
definitely would recommend it.

I have owned this car for 4 years now. I haven't had any issues other than normal maintenance. Car is comfortable for short drives. Handles well on the highway

Just got this Forte, and it is a great car, fun and easy to drive. Very comfortable. My overall gas mileage has been 8.2km/100, not the best, but coming from a truck where I got 16km/100 it is awesome. The features that this car has it great, and easy to use
