2020 Lexus GX SUV Priced, With Revised Styling and More Standard Technology

Lexus today announced a $75,950 starting price for its updated 2020 GX luxury utility vehicle, which boasts revised styling and more standard safety and off-road technology.

For $1,550 more than the outgoing base model, the 2020 Lexus GX adds as standard equipment Lexus Safety System +, the brand's suite of active safety and driver assist features. Also included is Lexus's multi-terrain monitor, which uses cameras to give the driver a view of what's around and under the vehicle in off-road situations.

Lexus has also touched up the GX's appearance with a revised grille and headlights.

While the new GX's starting price is higher, Lexus fairly asserts that the 2020 model, with its added standard kit, is $1,600 less than a similarly equipped 2019 version, as the driver assists were formerly packaged as an extra-cost option.

The sole option this year is the Executive Package, whose $81,950 MSRP is $400 less than last year but adds the same extras: a rear-seat entertainment system, front console cool box, multi-terrain select system, transmission fluid cooler, fuel tank protection plates, and a reprogrammed off-road crawl control system with five speed settings in place of last year's three.

Lexus has left the GX's 4.6L V8, six-speed transmission, and smooth-riding Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System unchanged.

The 2020 Lexus GX is available at dealers across Canada.
