Lego Releases Kit for Dom’s Charger from Fast & Furious

Lego has just unveiled a new set that allows Fast & Furious fans to build a blocky version of Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. This Lego Technic set has 1,077 pieces that come together to make a 1:13 scale replica of the now-iconic muscle car, complete with its massive supercharger.

As a Technic set, Dom’s Charger will be more complex to build and has more realistic details including moving pistons, a double wishbone suspension, a steering system, a wheelie bar, and even NOS canisters in the trunk. When not racing to beat an orange Supra past the train tracks, the Charger can be displayed with a wheelie stand.

If you’re like me and looking for fun, screen-free activities to keep you busy while practising social distancing at home (and you can’t currently live your life a quarter mile at a time), a new Lego set could be just the ticket. Pre-orders for Dom’s Charger are being accepted now and the set will be available globally April 27. On Lego Canada’s website, the set goes for $139.99. The website says the set is suitable for youngsters and kids older than 10, but let’s be real, if you’re buying this, you’re going to be building it when they go to sleep for the night.

The debut of F9, the latest installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, is one of many films that has been delayed due to COVID-19 and will now hit theatres in April 2021.
