Canadian Pricing for 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Announced

Hyundai's latest EV will be arriving at dealers soon. The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 will start from just under $55,000 and will offer up to 581 km of electric range.

The Ioniq 5, which was Hyundai's first purpose-built EV, was a small crossover with delightfully angular styling. The Ioniq 6 is something completely different — a four-door sedan with an incredibly sleek roofline that helps the car achieve one of the longest electric ranges on the market.

The Ioniq 6 lineup starts with the Preferred Long Range model with rear-wheel drive. Sporting a 77.4-kWh battery, it offers an estimated range of 581 km and an MSRP of $54,999. That's 93 km more than the Ioniq 5 offers with the same battery. It's also more range than any current EV under $100,000. Fast 350-kW Level 3 charging promises 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 18 minutes or up to 322 km of range in 15 minutes.

The rear-drive car offers 225 hp. It is equipped with features including heated front seats and steering wheel, dual 12.3-inch displays, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and drive assists including Highway Drive Assist, blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, and lane following.

Next up the line is the Preferred AWD model for $57,999. It has one motor in the front and one in the rear to provide all-wheel drive and makes 320 hp. Range for that model is 509 km.

At the top of the line is the Preferred AWD Long Range with Ultimate Package. This includes extra luxury features as well as 20-inch wheels. Those wheels bring range down to 435 km and the price to $63,999.

Hyundai says the 2023 Ioniq 6 will start to arrive at dealers this spring.
