Hyundai Tucson 1995-2017Change

Our Tucson was a nice SUV for many years. The first few years of ownership were great and it worked well. I was very impressed as to how good it worked. After the factory warranty ran out it was still fine but would quickly start to fail.

Over the past few years since about 2017, the Tucson has gone downhill. I'm not sure what's going on but its just starting to fall apart at an increasing rate.

I'd like to go back to Hyundai but I have lost faith in the brand. Once you get near the 100K mark, it just starts falling apart.

This car is stable and grabs the road well. It doesn't slide on water, snow or ice but hugs the road well. A great vehicle for a family with young children. We purchased it because it had room in the back seat for our 2 teenage kids who have long legs and even my hubby fits in the back seat and he's a big man.

Nice car.
It's reasonable with fuel. It comfortable inside and safe for long road trips.
Only the engine makes too much noise.

I have been looking for a comfortable ride and I have finally found one that is for the price. Sure you can get better but you will pay more too.

I've had the Hyundai Tucson with the 4WD DCT Turbo for a little over a year now. It is my first vehicle from Hyundai and my first SUV. All in all I am very impressed by the exterior and interior styling. I am happy with the power of the engine although I wish that it would be better on city driving. Highway driving milage is amazing-I can have a 7L/100km.
My only grip is that there is no APPLE Car Play.

From the handling, to the smoothness of the drive, to the look and fuel range this car is amazing. The handling is just wonderful for a new driver such as myself. the car looks so sleek and stylish inside and out. Sitting in the car its so luxurious i find its all the nice of sitting in a luxury car but without the enclosed feeling that normally comes with them and the added benefit of lots of storage which is perfect for my growing family. Plus even with gas prices going up I have never saved so much money on gas as I have in the past year. Not to mention how safe it is.

The only negative comment is the head rests of the driver and passenger seats, they are adjustable in tilting them forwards but unfortunately they do not go back enough, they lean forward just enough to cause neck soreness sometimes.

overall I would definitely recommend the tucson as it is a very reliable family friendly and wallet friendly car!

I owned my first Hyundai Tucson for just over 5 years. Loved that vehicle -- never had any problems with it. Decided to trade it in for a newer Tucson that had safety features (back-up camera) that I wanted.

Before buying my hyundai in November 2011, I tested out a few other SUVs and out of all of them I loved the Tucson! I was given a really good price and was able to do a trade-in. I love traveling, so I'm always in my car. Very cozy, and I enjoy all of the accessories inside and out. There weren't too many color choices when picking out the vehicle, but I'm not complaining. I get compliments from everyone around town. I actually feel safe when I'm driving in the car. Very good choice when changing from a sedan to SUV! Now my SUV has tinted windows, street-glow and a system, which the vehicle handles everything VERY well! I've had the Tucson for 8.5 months and have gone about 11,500 miles

I love my car it takes me everywhere without a single problem, dealer was so good, gave me a maintenance book to follow where dates are posted to do regular mantainance, I ti s relaible and fast

I didnt even think of Hyundai when car shopping until someone advised me how much they love theirs. I went to almost all mid range dealers lookign for a small SUV. This car had all my extras at a very low cost - leather, panaramic sunroof, etc, ZERO complaints since buying it and enjoying driving it every day! The sunroof is absolutely amazing in the summer! The leather seats heat so nice in the winter to keep your bum warm! the vehcile has eco, sport and regular mode perfect to customize your driving experience. Excellent on gas also (had a dodge journey before). Small gas tank though hence the 4 stars.

Despite the few problems with the car, I highly enjoyed driving it around the city and countryside! Great on fuel and enough room for a family! I drove it everyday to work and back. Brakes and acceleration are good, steering is good, radio's volume is excellent, heat and A/C is great. Tucson also has command start, which is excellent to use during the winter!

However, if you put the keys in the ignition, close the door to go do something for a minute or less, the vehicle has a tendency to automatically lock all of the doors. I recommend keeping a spare key with you at all times. Once when I had returned to my house after work, I turned the vehicle off, got out of the vehicle (did not lock it....all of the doors were unlocked) and walked around to the passenger seat in the front. I went to go open the door and it was locked. I had to use the car keys to unlock the door to get my stuff out. ***always put your stuff in the vehicle before starting the car, or keep the driver's door a crack open if the car is running***

It's alright, not the best but not the worst. I enjoy using it a lot. Could use some work on it, but other than that it's a smooth ride for all.

I have only had this for 2 months but I really like it so far. It uses a bit more gas then I am use to and insurance said it is in truck class so that went up in price compared to my last car but other then that it is roomy and a smooth ride.

Great mileage but not most comfy Santa Fe much more comfortable. Not wide enough for four foot wide sheet plywood. Sharp looking exterior. All wheel drive definitely needed in snow areas.

Never had a problem with the car. Smooth driving, big enough to carry a lot of things yet still small enough to park easily in the city. I would recommend changing anything made out of rubber (tires and wipers mainly) because the original pieces are of poor quality.

Like the ride,don't like the mags should be chrome,All and all I would maybe lease a other one when my lease is up.

I bought my car 6 years ago and have no problems with it. Runs all the time when I need it. Is good on gas and is reliable on trips, even through the mountains

Very good car and speeds up great. Would reccomend it to everyone.

Way better than my old car that was a hummer.

great to drive, very comfortable, needs better fuel economy. interior and exterior well designed. safety features are very good including lane change and backup.

A few blind spots typical of SUVs, but overall really happy with it. Lots of room for carrying groceries and moving bulky items. Seats in cargo area fold down easily. Comfortable for long trips.

Bought this SUV a couple years ago as an upgrade in size. It has been a great decision. Lots of space for passengers and when the back seats are folded down, it is very roomy for transporting items. It is also really good on fuel as I have made long road trips with it as well and it was more then reasonable. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

i had to change the fuel pump in it and have some regular maintenance however i bought the car second hand otherwise good car.

I purchased my Tuscon in 2006, new, and have had absolutely no regrets. It still a sturdy SUV and, aside from general maintenance, it has been a reliable vehicle. It has never failed me on the coldest of mornings and performs superbly in winter weather. It has a manual transmission that has never given me any concerns. Fuel economy is okay, I average 27 to 30 mpg. due to mostly city driving. To date I have accumulated 155,000 km and still going strong.
