by Neuberas on 01-12-2017
Fuel consumption as good as my civic 2012
great car, I bought it with 178000km
Problems:
It built rust in the rear fenders
head gasket cracked leading to overheating issues

Positive:
fuel consumption is AMAZING. It was as good as my civic 2012.
great performance, I did many trips back and forth from montreal to toronto with no issues.

Good economical car
Had it for a long time and it works great. Some nice perks compared to the civic and still cheap to fix and operate.

Dependable, Reliable Entry Level Luxury
This car has been very reliable. It was bought new and has not had any major issues, just routine maintenance. I love the interior, it has soft tough surfaces and well-crafted materials. The handling is superb, it could be pushed into corners without body lean and produces a smooth supple ride. My only gripe is that throttle response is a bit slow in order to achieve fuel economy. Had two Acura vehicles now, and would buy another for sure!

sporty and efficient transportation
This car is like driving a sports car but with more room. It is a reliable car with very nice sound system to make the drive even more enjoyable. The 5 speed manual transmission gives it some pep especially when going uphill. The car has fold down seats with ample room in the trunk if you need to transport anything. The leather seats are comfortable especially in the winter because the seats are heated. The car has winter tires for extra traction in the winter. The sunroof is fun when the sun is out on a hot day.

Most reliable car I've owned
This has been an amazing car. It has been well maintained, and I would be totally keeping it if I didn't need a larger ride. Oil has been changed regularly and it has been rust proofed every year.

Nice and sporty but economic car
The best ride in city. Handles very easy. Sporty look, sporty suspension.
Nice interior, lots of legroom.
Fuel economy: 750km on 50L tank
The engine revs rather high on manual transmission model.

Small 4 door
Not a lot of trunk space, I have a hard time fitting large items in it. Also, the engine is not very sporty. It is reliable but if you want a sporty engine like the Integra this is not the car for you. With Acura, since there are only two dealers in my city, they have a monopoly on servicing your car, this is very annoying. They constantly say if you don't bring it here you will void your warranty and maintenance on this car does not come cheap.

Good reliable car
I got this car at a great price and have had no major problems since its purchase over three years ago. Other than usual repairs the car has been very good.

Most reliable thing on the planet
I can't say enough about the reliability of this vehicle. It's never not started (except when i left the lights on all night) and it runs despite having been treated like bad
The vehicle can sure take a beating, does not require huge upkeep and parts are easy to find. Engine oil is cheap, runs on regular, and maintains decent gas mileage.

It's nice to have a sun roof and it's even nicer to have fully loaded options. It's not a mercedes, a bmw, or an american muscle car. What it is is an affordable entry level car with space in the back, a decent size trunk, tons of features, and a great every day driver. I'm at 200k kms.

reliable and fuel efficient
It has been employed most of its life as a second car . It's main function was local trips but performed well on the highway.
Two of our children learned to drive using it.

Although it is almost 11 years old and has 232,000 kms on it, I may keep it another year before selling it.

Great mileage, style and durability...and easy on the eyes.
When looking for a new car in 2002, going from an 87 Olds Cutlass Ciera, we wanted something stylish but affordable. We started looking at Honda Civics, but for the upgrade in look and style, we stepped up to the Acura EL.

The one thing we really have loved is the mileage. As this is my main commute car, I am filling up every 2-3 weeks.

Car handles well (even when I spun on Hwy 401 in winter, I found it easy to control).

Overall, a great care for it's time.
(P.S. I have driven it's predecessor - CSX - and although I like the design and interior, it definitely would take some getting used to if I were to switch).
