Great Ride
I love this car, only selling because we use just one car at a time, this one is not being driven enough.

Ten years and still ticking!
I purchased this car in May 2003 it was brand new, and 5 spd diesel.. oh the trauma, i came from a 1993 Lincoln town car to this.. it was an adjustment, but will my sales job at the time, the diesel fuel economy and it was a god sent, I take very good care of my Jetta, and it's now just over 245,000 km. Still with the original clutch! (not bad) for a someone that didn't drive standard before buying it.!
The heated seats, the leather package, the fold down seats, you can really pile a lot of stuff in..

Might be old but it is reliable!
It is an older model but it runs like a dream and handles all weather.

The heated seats are perfect for cold winter mornings or ppl with bad backs.

TDI Amazing!
I've had this car for 2 1/2 years and I absolutely love it! Gets consistently better than 50 mpg and even got 65 driving to BC one summer. 260k and it's been flawless. I can't say enough good things about these cars. New pads at 250K and they were original. Still has original front end parts. I've averaged $1000 worth of maintenance per year, and I've put on 30K/yr. Low for someone who is extremely picky. Just put over 2000 into my wife's CR-V in 8 months.

2003 Jetta
Bought this car after driving BMW's for the last 5 years. Although it is not as comfortable and does'nt have as many "toys" as the BMW, I find this an excellent car for the money. It is very fast and handles quite well, and the repairs are a lot cheaper.

Beautiful Little Car
Overall the Jetta has been a satisfying ride. The styling has a touch of sporty and classy merged together, doesn't necessarily stand out but doesn't fade away in a parking lot either. The interior is very comfortable, ergonomic, one of the best interior designs I've come across.

The car is solid and has great handling, acceleration is like a V6, brakes are extremely powerful (no pulsations during hard braking), and the Tiptronic 5 speed transmission actually changes gears in manual mode instantly.

Fuel economy is ok, whether you drive hard or gentle, premium fuel is required, and reliability is mediocre, no major break downs other than the failed water pump while driving it. This is the little car that thinks its big - smooth when you want it to be, fast and sporty when you want it to be, loaded with luxury as well.

A Johnny on the spot with smarts.
I only buy used European middle class cars. The Jetta has been by far the best buy I've made to date. It never broke down, and still has no foreseeable issues other than the normal oil changes, brake replacement, and tire changes that come with any car. City driving feels fun, and long distance road trips glide like the wind. I love the Jetta.

ROOM TO PANT !!!
With a black lab and golden doodle and they have lots of room in the back to hang jump around..they love to go for rides to the beach and park to run around and then slobber all over the windows on the ride home !!! And we have lots of leg room in the front for us. And don't get me started on the heated seats !!!!!

Best Car I've Owned
I've had this car for 4 years. And I love it, got it used and Its never let me down. Only regular maintenance; Oil, Filters, Timing belt .. ect. Only thing I could say abut buying Jetta's with an (1.8T engine) used is. Be aware that these car (1.8T's) NEED a timing belt change Before 160,000kms. If you don't it could wreck the engine if it fails. So be aware of that its about a $700-1000 dollar job and alot of 1.8T's go up for good deals at about 150k kms.

Solid, sporty, affordable luxury
I bought this car four years ago, and aside from being extremely fortunate to have bought a Certified pre-owned (read: two warranty that I used more than once), this car has been like any other car I've owned, in terms of repairs. I've read that some of them are lemons, and really, that's true of ANY make. The Jetta is a sharp looking car that I never get tired of admiring. It's fun to drive, the seats are super-comfy, and I love the leather interior. I'm short, so the car feels roomy enough for my liking, but I've heard that even tall people find the headroom in the Jetta surprising. The seats are on the firm side, which I actually like, particularly on longer drives.
