Volkswagen Jetta 2008Change

This car has been a great car, I have always owned Volkswagens and recommend them to everyone. Great on gas, never left me stranded, all around a great ride.

This was my first Volkswagen, and it certainly will not be my last! This car has the 2.0L gas engine in it which is an award winning engine in Europe on Wards top engine list. It is a smooth ride and very reliable, I would recommend to anyone!

I have been so happy with this car - the only reason I have decided to sell is because I commute 30 minutes everyday on a very busy single lane highway that is full of transports and logging trucks. It drives excellent in the winter and gets through snow with ease. When I lived in the city, I never had any issues getting around. I am the sole owner of this car, it has never been registered outside of Alberta, and I have no liens on the car as it is paid off. It has been in two minor collisions with a deer - both repaired through insurance damaged parts being replaced and not repaired. There was no structural damage to the vehicle.

Many years ago in my younger days I bought a 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette and was totally impressed by the way it handled the road. It hugged the corners with no problem. Usually never even slowed down for them. Years later I was looking for a small car for scootin around town that was easy to park and good on gas. I tried a few small imports but didn't like the way they handled until I tried a Volkswagen Jetta. It brought back memories of the corvette. This little car handles almost as well. I was sold on this one. (Only difference is other Jetta owners don't wave at you like Corvette owners:)

I have never had any issues with this car. It has been very dependable and the only work done on it were the scheduled maintenance.

This is a comfortable, and safety car. The bule colour on this car is looks great. I didn't drive this car too much, and I went to VW dealer for the maintenance.

Very high reliability, acceptable comfort, and stellar quality both in and out. I used this car for six years for work and school, never skipped a beat and never let me down!

The Jetta feels like a million bucks without costing it. From heated seats to its quiet engine, the only word to describe this ride is smooth, An expensive feeling to impress with, without losing any of its family friendly functionality.

We bought a 2006 used 2006 jetta a year ago and drove it for a year before it was in an accident and had little to no problems with it. We were so impressed with it that after the accident we went out and got a 2008 jetta. I would recomend this car to anyone and in fact have recommended it to many.

Have had a great time driving this car. Always served me well. Nothing but good things to say about it.

I really enjoy driving the jetta. It has a sleek exterior look and the interior is nice and roomy. The trunk is a perfect size for what I require it for as well. The only issue I have with this car or any Volkswagen is that the timing belt needs to be replaced after every 100 000 km's or so which can be costly.

The attention to detail that VW has put into this car is fantastic. Controls are easy and within reach. The quality of materials is high and there are little things that make driving a joy. The Trip computer is fantastic, with options to see what is currently playing on the radio and the ability to completely customize a wide variety of options like how your mirrors work, how the doors lock and what unit you want your fuel economy to be in. The little VW symbol in headlights is a nice touch.

It seems that VW has put thought into the small aspects of design. You don't just drive a VW, you experience it.

The 5-cylinder 2.5L engine has the economy of a 4-cylinder engine with the power of a 6-cylinder. Although the ultimate VW, in my opinion, is the TDI engine, this engine is responsive and allows you to easily pass other cars.

The Jetta TDI has the combined benefit of an automatic engine with the efficient, low-cost fuel economy of a diesel engine. Although the transmission is slightly 'stiff' in regards to exceleration BUT it makes up for it with a sturdiness and reliability. Due to my experiences with this car, I will definitely be inclined to look at other diesel engine cars for my next purchase.

This car is pretty great. We got it in 2008 and it still runs like a dream, no problems or anything. the interior has a lot of wasted space, though the trunk is very large and super useful.

I leased this 2008 Volkswagen Jetta and for all four years completely enjoyed this reliable car. I most certainly would have kept it but my family grew by one and we had to up size. This car is peppy, stylish and most of all extremely reliable. The only issue we had was a small problem with the driver's seat which was happily corrected by the dealer. I was sad to turn it in and I would not hesitate to buy one again.

Loved this car, solid, feel very safe, reliable, would love to keep it as a 2nd car but can't. I love the triptonic shift and find it great in the winter for driving.. It has great pick up in sport mode which again is a great feature. Heated seats are great too...

getting approx 550KMs on a tank of gas. city driving. Highway is even better.

There was nothing basic about my experience with this budget purchase.

The good: Spoiled in the past by more expensive German autos, the VW surprised me with solid comfort, no squeaks, rattles or deterioration of the driving experience over the lease period.

The not so good: Styling and performance however, were middle of the road in comparison to other manufacturer's vehicles in the same category.

Overall, a four year, trouble-free and economical drive with a 'quality' feel.

My experience with this particular car has been great. Fuel milage has been impressive for the amount of power and torque it has. The 5spd manual transmission allows you to drive it nice and easy but also gives you the ability to really drive the car the way VW meant it to be driven when you feel like it. It handles extremely well and corners like a dream. Ultimate drivers vehicle.

We have had a great experience with this car. We bought it new in 2008 and have been very pleased. We have found this car to be very reliable and met our needs at the time. We are selling this car because we have outgrown its capabilities and need a truck. We hate to see it go, but we hope it will make a great car for someone else.

Pick it up used with the 2.0T FSI Engine and the DSG 6SPD Trans. Best car I've owned! I will be looking for another VW when it's time to trade this in. Loads of great German touches and quality!
