Hyundai Accent 1999Change

It's an overall okay car, not the greatest. It's a good starter car and will last years but the exterior styling isn't to my liking. It's not sleek and the windows are poorly made. I would probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't the good deal I had received when I purchased the car a few years ago.

Hyundai has really improved their ratings in the past several years. I bought this car at the age of 15, and I still have it today, although it may not be the nicest car on the block, it has never failed me. I still own it, as it's a great commuter car - I've had to sink a little bit of money in it to fix small things: exhaust, gas cap, etc. 13 years later, this car is still running, however, it may be reaching the end of it's life soon. As I mentioned, it's a great commuter car, but looking at it's age, it's not something that you can expect to last forever.

If you're looking for a basic, reliable car, this is it. The fuel economy does does decline after a while, but i've had mine for 13 years (almost 300,000kms) so I expect this to happen.Have had very few problems with it, most being normal wear and tear issues (shocks, windshield,etc).
