Hyundai Accent 2007Change

You read it right folks, just like the Bare Naked Ladies say, a nice reliant automobile, but only it's a HYUNDAI!!!! How do they do it? Well for starters great price, great ride, all around great deal for you and best of all ME!!!!

This car has traveled to many cities, over many bridges, through many tunnels. It has moved me (and friends) several times over. The hatchback fits dressers, loads of wood, bicycles, tables, tires, etc, etc! I can't believe what I can fit in there. I've even had a queen mattress on top. And people love it when they get it, not expecting so much comfort and room! It has been a taxi on many occasions and in the absolute worst winter weather. I was so grateful to be able to pass so many other vehicles in the ditch, or unable to proceed further because of road conditions, but my little car did! And what a cinch to park! It has been in a few crashes (none my fault!) and resurrected beautifully. I tried to trade it in a few years ago for a newer model, but they no longer make the two door - crying shame!.. This car will be hard to replace.

I really love this car, I would like a car that is a little bit more performant but otherwise I really like it !
Although I change the radio to get one a little bit more actual so I have an aux plug, USB and the Bluetooth !

Car was gifted, at first I went well !!! not sure I like but hey it was free, in time I got to appreciate how i could always trust it to start and get me where I was going.

I never put 1$ in this car maintenance from the time I bought it (125.000 km) until now 200.000 . The mechanic recommended to change the timing belt set so I changed it. Next car will be definetly either a Hyundai Accent or a Hyundai Elantra GT.
On the other side it is not good on gas 1,6 engine and 16 valves automatic gearbox, I was expecting it to be around 10L/100 km, it was 12,5 - 13L/100 in the city. Highway it is good on gas. All and all maintenance costs : 0 , never broke down . I bought it with 5000$ and I expect it to hold for 5 years without major repairs ( engine , gearbox ).

This is a great little car! Awesome for city driving since it fits in tight spots and only costs about $40.00 to fill up. Each fill is good for about a week and a half to 2 weeks depending on how much you drive. I had no serious problems with this vehicle, just the regular maintenence up keep. I would definitely buy a Hyundai again because it stayed in such good condition, unlike other vehicles I've had previous. Only real downside is that it's not the best in the snow, just because of the size but you get great exercise pushing it out :). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a first vehicle!

Positives-low price, cheap on gas, good performance and easy maintenance.

Negatives- recommended not to drive faster than 110 km/hr as REVS dramatically increase (3000rpm at 120 km/hr). Tire size could have been made slightly larger for tough off road/ rough road situations



I have had this car for 3 years now. I have averaged about 420km/35 litres, which is pretty darn good.

It is a smooth ride, good in snow compared to my old kia and Honda, has lots of pep for such a small car.

Very reliable, have drove 90,000km with it NEVER had to do major repairs other than regular maintenance (brakes, plugs and oil changes' and tranny flush)

I had put 4 Michelin defender tires on the car which added to its performance and quiet/smooth ride.

WHEN MY KIDS CAN DRIVE I WILL BUY THIS CAR FOR THEM TO COMMUTE TO SCHOOL.

The SR specific performance parts really make the car look and drive much better than one would expect from a Hyundai Accent. I do not have to push the vehicle to enjoy being in it. It can be comfortable and quiet yet peppy and exciting. The fuel economy is not as good as one would expect from such a small vehicle, but it is still much better than most vehicles. The interior design is decent in aesthetic but the plastics mark easily.

We have had this car for 6 years and have had excellent driving year round. Excellent getting around in the snow, leaves other cars behind. Economical gas mileage, minimal maintenance equals easy on the pocket book. Great graduation present!

This has been and still is a phenomenal car, very reliable since the first day I got her brand new. She drives even better than the 1st day I got it. I wish I didn't have to sell the "blackdragon" but me and my wife have a baby on the way and we need a bigger car.

The car has been washed regularly and waxed professionally once a year in the spring. Filled up with Premium 93 octane fuel only. Never been smoked in or had drinks/food spilled in! Garage stored only! Mostly highway driven to work and back (75% highway, 25% city) I have taken care of this car like my baby! :)

I have owned this car sice I purchased it new off the car dealer lot. It is a standard gear, 2 door hatchback. The ability to knock down the back seats, either both or split, give me a lot of room to carry a lot of things, including smaller bits of furniture, I can also even make the back seat/hatchback area totally flat by pulling up the back lower seat as well..
I| have the GT sport, with wider tires. The car hugs hte road, corners beautifully, no drifting, and allows me to enjoy the speed I like on the open road, but still drive safely through the winding mountain roads.

First off, this car was my Dad's car since 2007 when he drove it off the lot. He has since upgraded to a 2012 Elantra Limited. I learned to drive in this car, and in all the years I have driven it, I have no complaints whatsoever. It's an easy, fun to drive, economical vehicle to own.

In all the years that we've had it, and in the last year and a bit that it has truly been "mine", there has been no mechanical issues at all whatsoever with the car. I just replaced my tires for the summer (normal wear and tear) and I need a bulb to replace my burnt out fog light. After 110 000km, THAT'S IT! Gas mileage has been good as well, I don't cringe when I look at the gas pump ($40/week). After 110 000km it still runs and drives like it were a brand new car. Starting my post secondary education in the fall, it will be my daily driver to and from school; with it's sporty handling, great looks and comfortable interior, the 100km/day commute is going to be a blast! The sport package definitely gives the car some added character.

If you are looking for a reliable, economical, good looking car, look no further than the Hyundai Accent! If you can find a Sport model hatchback with the sunroof, alloys and sportier handling, even better! You will not be dissappointed!

Excellent and reliable.....first 2 years battery problems, could've had been fixed right away but dealership is to blame. Other than that no major repairs. only need 2 new belts this year and had front breaks changed in 2012.

My experience with this car has been overall very reliable. Considering I have already put well over 180,000 km. on mine and I have still had minimal repairs. I did have to replace to transmission once, which was very costly. But the would of been the only thing needing to be replace except for the battery once. Also taken into consideration the car has been in 5 accidents and repaired and it still in great condition. One thing I wish was that the seating was a little more comfortable, the style I chose was the vinyl covering and I just find the seats to be a little hard. But considering the car looks so tiny from the outside it is considerable spacious on the inside. I do wish I would have purchased the 4 door though, as it's a little difficult getting a car seat in and out of the back of a two door. But I love the style of the two door and I think it looks like a really sporty car on the exterior. I don't so much love the hatchback look on the back end of the car, but I love the way the car looks on the front. Overall, I definitely would recommend this car to anyone that is looking for a reliable vehicle that is great on gas.

This is a great little car, especially on gas, be it for city driving or highway. I have drove this car over 100,000km and it still is driving great. It has all the features that you need in a nice small car, plus some great little extras, like I love the rear wipers and defrost

The car is very comfortable, easy on gas. I have had no troubles with the car. Easy to park. They have a lot of room. The only downfalls about the car is there is no arm rest on the drivers side and the interior fabric attracts a lot of dirt, hair and pet dander which is hard to vacuum off, invest in seat covers.

Having had a '02 Oldsmobile Alero, the agility of this car was very nice. Handles good, excellent for tighter spots. Accelerates very well for its size. Good use of space inside, with cupholders and space for small items. Pretty versatile for transporting things with fold down back seats that are very easy to use. Fairly quiet ride, and fine in winter with snow tires.

This car is great on gas, but the interior design is not that great for a coffee drinker because the cup holders are not placed close to the driver at all.

I have been driving this since it was new on the lot, never had any majour issues with reliability. It is fantastic on gas, being a limited edition run, it's styling and interior design are exceptional for the price. The 10 speaker clarion sound system is unbelievable, for a factory installed system. My only regret with the car is that i did not buy two.

This car is great for city driving and getting to and from work. The fuel economy is not the best for long road trips. The interior is spacious and has plenty of cup holders. There are 2 AC plug-ins, they are not well suited for Ipod or Iphone holders due to location. It is also behind on other features compared to other cars of the same year, such as no Aux outlet.

Hi put a new red desing inside and a new sound system It's pretty cool with the roof window and! and it cost me so much less fuel!

Small on the inside but let you save a lot of money in fuel economy. The car is a little under normal performance and the engine is slow to accelerate on the highway. BUT the small frame is nice to navigate in the bigger city and easier in parking lot or underground parking lot. A nice car for urban and highway road
