Hyundai Accent 2009Change

Purchased in 2012 and it has never gave me an ounce of problems. It is a great little compact vehicle and superb on fuel.

This car is easy to take care of and doesn't require a lot of maintenance. Its great on gas and handles well in all weather, including winter. The dealership also provides great service.

This was a great first car. It met all my driving needs. I averaged just under 500 km per tank on the highway and just over 400 km per tank in the city (40L tank). It's a great city car- very durable and fits into the parking spaces that are too small for everyone else. The car drives very nicely, and has a substantial feel for its size. Its handling is excellent, and although it doesn't have a huge amount of power (how much do you really need anyway, unless you're in the Indy 500?), the engine is very peppy with the manual transmission and it has more than enough oomph for day-to-day driving. Depreciation on Hyundais is still pretty bad (undeservedly so), which is bad for the original owner, but great if you want to get a high-quality used car at a great price.

I have been the only owner of this car and I have driven it to Tofino and back, to Calgary and back, and to Victoria and back numerous times and it has always been a reliable ride that is excellent on fuel. At the moment, a full gas tank is about $45-50 depending on the price of gas.

Excellent fuel mileage. Good highway ride. Perfect for getting around the city fast and easy to park.

I've had no trouble with this vehicle. I am moving, so I have to get rid of it which is heartbreaking. Not one problem, not one accident, and not one complaint!

We bought this car used, have had nothing but great things to say. Great fuel economy, handles well. Roomy interior. Hadnt needed anything but regular tune ups, oil hanges, and brake changes. Handles well on the highway. Not a lot to fill it up with gas prices these days

This vehicle may be very affordable to purchase but delivers great bang for your buck. Economical with today's gas prices and comfortable for a compact. Huge trunk considering overall vehicle size....Lots of extras with the anniversary edition. Definitely a winner!

You must be careful in winter because this car does not hold the road really well with the snow and the wind. I had to change the whippers because the original ones did not do the job properly. It is ok in summer, but not for Canadian winter...

it was great for me as i travel 200 klm a day for work and it was great on gas only needing to fill up once a week was great on the wallet and my schedual

The Hyundai Accent received an extensive overhaul for the 2008 model year, and reviewers were very satisfied with the results. They said the new Accent is nothing like the previous generation. Its exterior is stylish; its list of safety and technology features is long; and its fuel economy ratings are high. For the 2009 model year, the Accent receives some more changes. Air conditioning, a stereo, satellite radio and a USB port are now standard on the base Accent.

Good little car on gas and good price. I have had this car form new and have few problems with it. It has been reliable for me and my family. Could be another speed easily. But all in all a good little car

it was simply amazing, the car roll on clouds. The interior is fabulous and smell so good , the technology is wow and also the mechanic. The car is really economic good drive on highway and it doesn't cost much to put gas in it.

The car is great. It provides a smooth ride, comfortable seating, and is much larger inside than it looks. The trunk is a little on the small side however, but it is the largest in its class. After 60K km I find little to complain about!

I bought this car brand new in August 2009, right before I moved to the city. It has been an great little buddy. I bought the base model, but had the dealer install a cold air intake (more torque, better mpg), a shift kit (for a better feeling stick), and a strut tower brace (for better cornering) and it's a blast to drive.

For all this brand new I put $0 down and pay $200 a month. Insurance is $1100/year (aka NOTHING :D)

I did add infinity Speakers and a Sony iPod compatable deck, but the stock radio was not bad at all.

The only real gripe I have with the car is the hatch lock. Because it's a base accent, the doors have manual locks. This means I have to unlock the hatch with the key, open it, then lock it again with the key when I close it. There's no open/lock switch inside or on the door. Sedan's do have a trunk release. Also the wiper on the hatch has only 'on' or 'off', no 'intermittent' setting. No one needs a constantly operating rear wiper.

Other than that, it's been reliable even with light abuse (I've done all the required services on time), it has way more room inside that it looks (I put a dinner table and 3 chairs in there last week), and it actually has decent styling. Call it boring if you want, but it won't look stupid in 5 years.

My Accent is my first car. I bought it new 3 1/2 years ago, and I am pleased with my purchase. I knew that it wasn't a high-end car. I was just looking for something to get me from Point A to Point B (and not cost TOO much to fill up). It does just that. It is fuel efficient and reliable. It has a roomy interior & trunk but a fairly bland interior design.

I have had a couple of hardware issues - there was a glitch once during a cold spell where my engine light came on for no reason, my battery was a bad apple and there was a problem with the starter - all of which were fixed for free under my warranty.

I would buy from Hyundai again, and I would recommend this car to anyone who needs a good starter car, or commuter types who don't need the extra space of a larger vehicle.
